Shriners Children’s is where hope and healing meet and is a global leader in pediatric burn care. The Shriners Children’s Charleston Clinic delivers highly specialized outpatient burn services for children and adolescents, combining compassionate care with clinical and research excellence.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Located on the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) campus, the Shriners Children’s clinic is uniquely positioned within a nationally recognized academic health environment. In 2022, MUSC and Shriners Children’s established an affiliate partnership to further elevate pediatric burn care, innovation, and research in Charleston. This collaboration strengthens access to multidisciplinary expertise while advancing best practices in pediatric burn treatment and recovery.  The MUSC Burn Center is the only American Burn Association (ABA) exclusively pediatric verified burn center in South Carolina.  </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The Practice Manager is a proactive and hands-on leader who excels in fast-paced, multidisciplinary environments.  This role is responsible for overseeing daily clinic operations, fostering collaboration across clinical and administrative teams, and driving continuous improvement.  The ideal candidate brings strategic thinking, clear communication, and strong problem-solving skills to every facet of practice management.  Accountable for performance across assigned services, the Practice Manager cultivates and high-performance culture focused on quality care, patient experience, regulatory compliance, safety, and financial stewardship in alignment with Shriners Children's mission and values.  </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Oversees daily clinic workflows to ensure efficiency and patient-centered care</li>\n <li>Supervises and coaches administrative and clinical support staff</li>\n <li>Ensures adherence to pediatric-specific health regulations</li>\n <li>Monitors revenue cycle with attention to subspecialty billing opportunities</li>\n <li>Identifies gaps in authorizations, referrals and documentation</li>\n <li>Fosters a child-friendly and family-centered environment</li>\n <li>Designs and implements strategies to improve patient/family satisfaction</li>\n <li>Handles escalated patient/family concerns </li>\n <li>Uses data and root cause analysis to identify and solve workflow inefficiencies</li>\n <li>Acts as a liaison across care teams, leadership and external partners</li>\n <li>Recruits and retains staff experienced in pediatric care</li>\n</ul>\n<p>This is not an all-inclusive list of this job’s responsibilities. The incumbent may be required to perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.</p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Required:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor's degree </li>\n <li>3 - 5 years practice management experience or demonstrated skills required</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Preferred:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Masters degree in Healthcare Administration or Business Administration</li>\n <li>Membership in American College of Healthcare (ACHE)</li>\n <li>Membership in Medical Group Managment Association (MGMA)</li>\n <li>Lean Six Sigma Green Certification</li>\n <li>2+ years experience in pediatric or specialty care setting</li>\n</ul>\n<p><em>Shriners Children’s is an EOE/Drug-Free, Smoke-Free Workplace. </em></p>",
