    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p><strong><u>Primary Duties &amp; Responsibilities</u></strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>Demonstrates a strong understanding of the critical importance of optical flatness in the polishing and grinding of telecom wafers and coupons.</strong></li>\n <li><strong>Inspect and prepare raw optical wafers</strong></li>\n <li><strong>Verify material specifications and cleanliness before processing optical glass</strong></li>\n <li><strong>Operate precision grinding equipment to thin wafers to required tolerances.</strong></li>\n <li><strong>Select appropriate grinding compounds, pads, and tooling based on material type</strong></li>\n <li><strong>Perform fine polishing to achieve required surface finish and flatness</strong></li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong><u>Education &amp; Experience</u></strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>High school diploma or equivalent</strong></li>\n <li><strong>Experience with networked PC based computer systems.</strong></li>\n <li><strong>Experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES)</strong></li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong><u>Skills</u></strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>Minium of 2 years working in a high-volume manufacturing environment, preferably in the Telecom Industry.</strong></li>\n <li><strong>Demonstrates a strong understanding of the critical importance of optical flatness in the polishing and grinding of telecom wafers and coupons.</strong></li>\n <li><strong>Strong ability to work independently and manage priorities in a production environment.</strong></li>\n <li><strong>Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to quality.</strong></li>\n <li><strong>Strong written and verbal communication skills.</strong></li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong><u>Working Conditions</u></strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>This role is 100% onsite</strong></li>\n <li><strong>Highly repetitive working conditions</strong></li>\n <li><strong>Swing shift 1:00pm - 9:30pm PST shift deferential applies&nbsp;</strong></li>\n <li><strong>Due to the use of polishing compounds and loose abrasive compounds this job involves a moderately messy work environment.</strong></li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong><u>Physical Requirements</u></strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>On occasion be able to lift 40lbs.</strong></li>\n <li><strong>Long periods of standing/walk</strong></li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong><u>Safety Requirements</u></strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>All employees are required to follow the site EHS procedures and Coherent Corp.
