Description
We are currently seeking an experienced Facilities Manager to join our team in the Raleigh, NC corporate office.
This is a full-time position. Working Conditions: Typical office environment. Expected travel in rural areas in and/or out of state as needed, up to 50% of the time.
About the Role:
The Facilities Manager handles managing efficient operation, maintenance, safety, construction, and renovations of Grow Early Learning facilities.
Facilities Manager will lead/supervise and coordinate maintenance teams, manage vendor relationships, and oversee budgets related to facility operations, develop and implement strategic plans for facility improvements and sustainability initiatives.
Education and Experience:
Preferred: Master’s in business management or related field. Three years’ experience in facilities management, state licensing regulations for childcare centers, and building maintenance and construction codes.
Accepted: Bachelor’s in management or business-related field. Five years’ experience in facilities management, state licensing regulations for childcare centers, and building maintenance and construction codes.
Essential Functions:
Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to ensure the longevity and safety of building systems and equipment. Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and service providers to ensure timely and cost-effective facility services. Follow all competitive bidding requirements, and ensure appropriate federal, state, and local laws are met during the construction or renovation process. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to building safety, environmental standards, and accessibility are followed. Broad knowledge of building systems, maintenance procedures, and safety regulations. Ensure implementation of a system for monitoring facilities, including regular maintenance and repair schedules. Provide supervision and technical assistance to the Maintenance Technicians.
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Ability to communicate, receive, and transfer written, oral, and electronic information effectively. Computer skills including Microsoft applications: Word, Excel and Outlook. Ability to develop proposals and construction schedules. Knowledge of building codes and other laws/regulations. Ability to work with multiple deadlines. Ability to establish vendor relationships to benefit Grow Early Learning. Work in a Team Environment. Valid driver’s license and maintain insurable driving record
