    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>We are currently looking for a Machine Operator for our 2nd shift to join our vegetable processing facility in Ogden, UT. This position is responsible for the mechanical maintenance and operation of assigned packaging line(s).</p>\n<p><strong>Schedule:  3:45pm to 2:15am</strong></p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Work cooperatively with Supervisors, Maintenance, and production workers to meet productivity standards.</li>\n <li>Set up line for production runs.</li>\n <li>Continually monitor packaging equipment, product, packaging and personnel for the production run.</li>\n <li>Effectively maintain safety, quality and production standards for each production run.</li>\n <li>Perform minor mechanical duties including minor repair of all line equipment.</li>\n <li>Maintain and operate ink jet coders as well as case printers.</li>\n <li>Refer all electrical/electronic problems to the maintenance department and ensure resolution of issues.</li>\n <li>Perform preventative maintenance on line equipment as scheduled.</li>\n <li>Communicate progress of line to Supervisor/Manager.</li>\n <li>Correct errors on line.</li>\n <li>Actively develop solutions to limit operational downtime.</li>\n <li>Assist organizing and cleaning production line area throughout shift.</li>\n <li>Maintain regular and consistent attendance.</li>\n <li>Follow all Company policies and procedures, which include SOP’s, Employee Handbook, Food Safety and Quality Procedures, Food Quality Policies, GMP Handbook, HACCP, and Pictsweet Safety Procedures.</li>\n <li>Perform all other duties as assigned.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Capability of running two or more lines and/or performing general mechanical duties.</li>\n <li>Maintain and repair basic mechanical operations of line equipment and assist on more complex repairs.</li>\n <li>Understand basic mathematical computation.</li>\n <li>Knowledge of hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, weigh machines, metal detectors, Bosch baggers, and material handling systems.</li>\n <li>Basic understanding of electrical controls.</li>\n <li>Advanced understanding of packaging systems.</li>\n <li>Read or interpret documents such as safety rules/ signs, operating and maintenance instructions and procedures.</li>\n <li>Communicate effectively, both verbally and written in English, with management and co-workers.</li>\n <li>Foster cooperative team environment.</li>\n <li>Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed.</li>\n <li>Consistently meet efficiency standards for a sustained period.</li>\n <li>Consistently meet goals for film and product waste reduction.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>EDUCATION</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Prefer one year experience as a machine operator (or related craft).</li>\n <li>Prefer one-year experience in direct operation and maintenance of machinery similar to those used by Pictsweet.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>PHYSICAL DEMANDS</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Must be 18 years or older.</li>\n <li>Frequently lift, push, pull, and/or move up to 100 pounds.</li>\n <li>Regularly stand, climb, walk, squat, kneel, crouch and crawl.</li>\n <li>Work effectively in cold, wet and loud environment for up to 10 hours.</li>\n <li>Climb and descend steep stairs.</li>\n <li>Must have close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.</li>\n <li>Frequent repetitive motion involving wrists, hands, fingers, and shoulders.</li>\n <li>Consistent repetitive motion involving wrists, hands, fingers, and shoulders.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Pictsweet is a drug-free workplace.  </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><em>Equal Opportunity Employer/Minorities/Women/Protected Veterans/Disabled/PWDNET</em></p>",
