    "description": "<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">About the Role</span></p>\n<p>As our <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Financial Controller</span> in Amsterdam, you will lead the company’s controlling function—driving financial accuracy, ensuring strong internal controls, and delivering the insights needed for sound decision‑making. You will oversee budgeting, cash flow management, performance analysis, compliance, and the month‑end close, ensuring the integrity of all financial data.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Beyond day‑to‑day operations, you will support audits, evaluate commercial agreements, and partner with leadership to strengthen financial discipline and operational efficiency. This is a full‑time (40‑hour) position, that requires presence in the office 5-days per week, reporting directly to our <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Global Finance Leader</span> in the U.S.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">What You’ll Do</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">Financial Leadership &amp; Strategy</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Lead the full financial and accounting function for international operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery of all financial outputs.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Partner closely with key leaders to drive strategic decision‑making, operational cost optimization.  Execute strategic plans.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Provide actionable financial insights to senior leadership, influencing long‑term business strategy and risk mitigation.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Support development and implementation of global financial policies, internal controls, and best practices.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Financial Planning &amp; Analysis</span><br></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Drive variance analysis, key performance, scenario planning, key financial metrics and KPI's.  Prepare and manage the annual budget, monitor financial performance, and deliver regular financial reports and insights to the executive team.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Identify financial risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure long‑term financial stability.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Identify cost‑saving opportunities and implement cost‑control measures to improve operational efficiency.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">Cash Flow &amp; Financial Operations</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Lead cash flow forecasting, planning and treasury coordination.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Reconcile financial records regularly to ensure accuracy, integrity, and strong financial analysis across all transactions.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Facilitate the month‑end close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Ensure full compliance with IFRS and all financial regulations and reporting requirements, including tax filings, audits, and VAT.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">Controls, Compliance &amp; Governance</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Establish and maintain effective internal controls, including processes to prevent duplicate invoice entries, in partnership with the Accounts Payable team.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Maintain strong internal controls environment; implement corrective actions as needed.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Maintain oversight of accounting teams and ensure high standards of accuracy, ethics, and performance.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">Strategic &amp; Cross‑Functional Collaboration</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including auditors, to support the company’s financial needs.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Support ERP enhancements, process automation, and continuous improvement projects.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">What You’ll Need</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field (RC or RA preferred).</li>\n<li>Proven experience in a financial role, 7 years progressive controller experience required.</li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Proven ability to partner with senior executives and influence strategic decisions.</span></li>\n<li>Familiarity with Dutch GAAP concepts, practices, and procedures within the accounting and finance field, including cost accounting.</li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Advanced Excel and ERP system experience;
