Do you want to contribute to La Casita’s foundational Hospitality program? La Casita is seeking Spanish Immersion interns to support our Hospitality and Solidarity program. Specific duties will vary depending on experience and ability. A minimum of 8 hours a week, for 10 weeks, is expected. Duties will evolve as the intern grows with their Spanish and their knowledge of the Center. Internships are available year-round to anyone (of any age or educational background) who possess intermediate Spanish abilities and are excited to expand their skills through immersion.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\"><span style=\"font-size: 13px;\">Reports</span></span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 15px; font-family: Arial;\">This position is part of two teams: Capacity Building and Hospitality. The assigned support person for onboarding and supervisory functions is the Capacity Building Coordinator. The intern’s Spanish Immersion experience and delegation of tasks will be given by the Team Coordinators. (Reporting processes explained in interview).</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 15px; font-family: Arial;\">This is an unpaid internship.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\"><span style=\"font-size: 13px;\">Essential Duties and Responsibilities, per Spanish ability:</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px;\">Donation processing </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px;\">Food preparation</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px;\">Food pantry and clothing closet support</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px;\">Working with; occasionally interpreting for English-speaking volunteers</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px;\">Facilities maintenance and cleaning</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px;\">Greeting and receiving guests to the center</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px;\">Outreach events to educate the community on available services</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px;\">Supporting in other daily Center activities, as needed.
