Description

Campus Director Hillel at Kennesaw State University, Hillels of Georgia Role Overview Hillels of Georgia seeks a visionary, dynamic, and strategic leader with proven organizational skills to lead Hillel at Kennesaw State University. This role is responsible for building a vibrant and meaningful Jewish community at Kennesaw State University, a community that includes opportunities for learning, celebration, service, connection to Israel, and strong peer relationships. The Campus Director will intentionally engage students while also creating pathways for students to step into leadership and take ownership of Jewish life at KSU. This position requires a strong commitment to inclusion, pluralism, and creating a community where students feel genuinely welcomed and valued. The Campus Director will cultivate relationships not only with students, but with parents, alumni, community members/partners, and university stakeholders to strengthen the student experience and the broader support system around Hillel. In addition to engagement and leadership development, the Campus Director is responsible for the overall direction of the Hillel, including programming, operations, supervision of staff, and fundraising. This role requires someone who can hold both the day-to-day work and the bigger picture, ensuring that the Hillel continues to grow in a way that is thoughtful, sustainable, and rooted in student needs. What You’ll Do Student Engagement and Community Building Set and execute a bold vision for growing Jewish student engagement at KSU, with clear goals and measurable outcomes Build deep, meaningful relationships with students through relational engagement, meeting students where they are and helping them find their place in Jewish life Identify, reach, and engage students who are not yet connected to Hillel, with a focus on expanding the leadership pipeline Create a culture where students feel ownership over Jewish life on campus Build strong relationships with university partners, faculty, and student organizations Collaborate with Hillels of Georgia colleagues to support statewide initiatives and shared strategy Innovation, Programming, and Leadership Development Design and implement creative, relevant, and high-impact initiatives that reflect the interests and needs of today’s students Encourage experimentation in staff and students by piloting new ideas, testing approaches, and iterating quickly Recruit, mentor, and develop student leaders, with a focus on ownership, initiative, and leadership growth Build a leadership culture that empowers students to move from ideas to action Fundraising and Sustainability Lead and grow fundraising efforts to support Hillel at KSU, including donor relationships, campaigns, and local partnerships Cultivate relationships with alumni, parents, and community stakeholders to build a sustainable base of support Partner with Hillels of Georgia leadership to align fundraising strategy with organizational priorities Integrate storytelling and impact into fundraising efforts to clearly communicate the value of Hillel’s work Oversee day-to-day operations, including programming, budget management, and administrative responsibilities Maintain accurate and up-to-date data on students, alumni, and supporters What You’ve Accomplished 3-5+ years of relevant experience in Jewish communal work, campus engagement, or student leadership development Demonstrated success in growing engagement and/or leading initiatives Experience building relationships with diverse stakeholders, including students and community partners Bachelor’s degree required What You’ll Bring to the Position A deep passion for building vibrant, inclusive Jewish communities Strong relationship-building skills and high emotional intelligence A creative, innovative mindset with a willingness to try new approaches and take thoughtful risks Ability to move between big-picture strategy and day-to-day execution Experience or interested in fundraising and relationship-based development Experience in program development, facilitation, and leadership development Strong organizational and program management skills Knowledge of Jewish life, values, and traditions Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) A collaborative spirit and commitment to team success What You’ll Receive Competitive salary in the nonprofit marketplace. The salary range for this role is $75,00 - $85,000.
