This role manages building systems, specialized manufacturing equipment, contractor coordination, and security systems while supporting both internal operations, external customer program and engineering/maintenance POC for major contracts.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>JOB RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></p><p><br></p><p><strong>Building &amp; Facility Management</strong></p><ul><li>Coordinate with building ownership for repairs and maintenance involving roofs, parking lots, building exteriors, and other facility infrastructure&nbsp;</li><li>Oversee annual fire alarm system inspections and compliance activities&nbsp;</li><li>Maintain safe building access by shoveling and salting walkways during winter conditions&nbsp;</li><li>Update and maintain facility layouts and building maps&nbsp;</li><li>Coordinate contractors and vendors for facility repairs and services&nbsp;</li><li>Manage building security systems, including:&nbsp;    <ul>      <li>Access control systems&nbsp;</li>      <li>RFID badge issuance&nbsp;</li>      <li>Key management&nbsp;</li>      <li>Intrusion alarm systems&nbsp;</li>      <li>Security camera systems&nbsp;</li>    </ul></li><li>Maintain facility cleanliness and organization</li><li>Support CMMC-related facility and operational requirements</li></ul><p><strong>Equipment &amp; Maintenance Management</strong></p><ul><li>Develop, implement, and oversee preventative maintenance programs to minimize equipment downtime&nbsp;</li><li>Troubleshoot, maintain, repair, service, and coordinate replacement of critical facility equipment including:&nbsp;    <ul>      <li>Compressed air systems&nbsp;</li>      <li>130+ HVAC units with over 530 tons of combined cooling capacity&nbsp;</li>      <li>Backup generators&nbsp;</li>      <li>Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems&nbsp;</li>      <li>15+ industrial chillers&nbsp;</li>      <li>High-temperature growth furnaces and ancillary equipment&nbsp;</li>      <li>Cooling towers, pumps, and filtration systems&nbsp;</li>      <li>Fume hoods and clean benches&nbsp;</li>    </ul></li><li>Support operation and maintenance of LN and TeO2 material preparation, growth, and poling equipment&nbsp;</li><li>Initiate and prepare CapEx justifications for new or replacement equipment&nbsp;</li><li>Operate forklifts as required&nbsp;</li><li>Coordinate deliveries between buildings&nbsp;</li><li>Maintain records related to equipment, materials, labor hours, and inventory</li></ul><p><strong>Equipment &amp; Customer Support</strong></p><ul><li>Serve as the engineering and maintenance point of contact for LLNL and CEA programs&nbsp;</li><li>Repair and service custom saws, milling, cleaning, and metrology systems&nbsp;</li><li>Document completed work and provide periodic reports&nbsp;</li><li>Manage and track all Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) assets&nbsp;</li><li>Package and palletize tools and equipment for return shipment to LLNL&nbsp;</li><li>Manage and review maintenance contracts&nbsp;</li><li>Coordinate contractors for equipment repairs and service activities</li><li>Organize and schedule bi-weekly calls with LLNL and CEA stakeholders</li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications &amp; Experience</strong></p><ul><li>High school diploma or GED required&nbsp;</li><li>Combination of training, education, and experience equivalent to construction, facilities maintenance, or industrial maintenance trades experience&nbsp;</li><li>Strong knowledge of facility systems, maintenance tools, and equipment care&nbsp;</li><li>Experience with troubleshooting industrial systems and preventative maintenance programs&nbsp;</li><li>Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing operational needs&nbsp;</li><li>Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills&nbsp;</li><li>Experience coordinating contractors and vendors&nbsp;</li><li>Forklift operation experience preferred&nbsp;</li><li>Experience in manufacturing or technical production environments preferred</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Additional Information</strong></p><p><br></p><p>This job description is not intended to be exhaustive in every respect, but rather to clearly define the fundamental purpose, responsibilities and dimensions for the role.
