Our medical assistants work hand in hand with our physicians to maintain the best care possible for our patients. </span></span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'Source Sans Pro', arial, verdana, sans-serif\"><strong><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Education and Experience:<br></span></strong></span><span style=\"font-size: 14px\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Source Sans Pro', arial, verdana, sans-serif\">High school diploma or equivalent required. CCMA certification is preferred, but not required.</span><br></span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14px\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Source Sans Pro', arial, verdana, sans-serif\">Either CCMA certification or experience in the medical field is required.</span></span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'Source Sans Pro', arial, verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 16px\"><strong>Job Duties Include:</strong></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'Source Sans Pro', arial, verdana, sans-serif\">Obtaining vital sign measurements using manual and automatic devices.</span><br></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'Source Sans Pro', arial, verdana, sans-serif\">Recording patient complaints, history, and active medication list into the EMR.</span><br></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'Source Sans Pro', arial, verdana, sans-serif\">Adhering to HIPAA regulations regarding protected health information (PHI)</span><br></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'Source Sans Pro', arial, verdana, sans-serif\">Administering injections as directed by the physician.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'Source Sans Pro', arial, verdana, sans-serif\">Performing EKGs and diabetic retinal exams.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'Source Sans Pro', arial, verdana, sans-serif\">Sterilizing equipment and exam rooms.</span><br></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'Source Sans Pro', arial, verdana, sans-serif\">Relaying results and instructions from the physician to a patient, as well as documenting those messages in the patient’s medical record.</span><br></li>\n</ul>",
