The successful candidate will demonstrate clinical expertise in oncology nursing, patient education, and symptom management in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: rgb(34, 34, 34); font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\"> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"color: rgb(34, 34, 34)\">QUALIFICATIONS:</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span>Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario in good standing</span></li>\n<li><span>BScN is an asset</span></li>\n<li><span>Completion of de Souza Provincial Standardized Chemotherapy and Biotherapy Course mandatory. Certification must be active and in good standing</span></li>\n<li><span>Completion of de Souza Foundations in Oncology Nursing Practice preferred</span></li>\n<li><span>Certificate in Oncology Nursing CON(C) an asset</span></li>\n<li><span>Experience with intravenous insertion, PICC and Port-a-cath access</span></li>\n<li><span>Minimum of 2 years of recent (within the last 3 years) experience in systemic chemotherapy administration</span></li>\n<li><span>Current BCLS certification</span></li>\n<li><span>Knowledge &amp; application of principles of oncology and palliative care nursing</span></li>\n<li><span>Familiarity with regional cancer programs and patient navigation pathways is an asset</span></li>\n<li><span>Proven ability to provide holistic, patient-centered care in a fast-paced, emotionally complex environment</span></li>\n<li><span>Demonstrated competency in the administration of cytotoxic agents, patient assessment, and management of oncologic emergencies</span></li>\n<li><span>Demonstrated experience in working both independently and as part of inter-professional team</span></li>\n<li><span>Demonstrated leadership abilities</span></li>\n<li><span>Excellent interpersonal &amp; communication skills</span></li>\n<li><span>Computer literacy; working knowledge of a variety of computer systems &amp; software applications.
