You will instruct junior officers and ratings on procedures, notify the Master of any defects affecting ship safety or the marine environment, and assign specific roles to deck officers or ratings. Additionally, you will investigate non-conformance issues, act as the Ship Security Officer, manage the ship&#8217;s stability, and inspect and maintain deck equipment.
