    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>We are seeking a Senior Microsoft Azure & Databricks Architect to provide technical and sales leadership and evangelism across complex, enterprise-scale data, analytics, and AI modernization initiatives. This role represents architecture across Microsoft Azure and Databricks platforms, shaping technical strategy, coordinating with  delivery leadership, and acting as a trusted technical authority for both clients and internal teams. As a senior individual contributor, this role combines deep hands-on architecture expertise with platform governance, mentorship, and client advisory responsibilities.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Primary Location: Across Canada</p>\n<p>Work Model: Hybrid / Remote (project-dependent)</p>\n<p>Employment Type: Permanent Full-Time</p>\n<p>Vacancy Status: New</p>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>RESPONSIBILITIES</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Accountable for pre-sales technical leadership deeply partnering with the sales and alliances teams. </li>\n <li>Own end-to-end architecture for enterprise Azure and Databricks platforms across multiple, concurrent initiatives</li>\n <li>Lead design of scalable, secure, and cost-optimized data platforms including lakehouse, data warehouse, streaming, and AI workloads</li>\n <li>Define target-state architectures, reference patterns, and technical standards aligned with Microsoft and Databricks best practices</li>\n <li>Architect Azure environments including landing zones, networking, security, identity, governance, and FinOps</li>\n <li>Design and govern Databricks Lakehouse architectures using Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, and medallion patterns</li>\n <li>Lead client architecture workshops, technical assessments, and roadmap definition sessions</li>\n <li>Partner with Delivery Leads and Engineering teams to ensure solutions are implemented as designed</li>\n <li>Identify technical risks and provide mitigation strategies across the project lifecycle</li>\n <li>Mentor Lead Architects, Architects, and Senior Engineers on architecture decisions and implementation patterns</li>\n <li>Review and approve architecture designs, solution documents, and platform configurations for quality and compliance</li>\n <li>Accountable to develop and present pre-sales materials, statements of work and assessment outcome artifacts. </li>\n <li>Prepare collateral for customers and partners, including presentations, solution blueprints, consumption forecasts etc.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>10+ years of experience in data, analytics, and cloud architecture roles supporting enterprise-scale platforms</li>\n <li>Deep expertise in Microsoft Azure architecture including security, networking, identity, governance, and cost management</li>\n <li>Advanced hands-on experience designing and delivering Databricks Lakehouse solutions at enterprise scale</li>\n <li>Strong background in modern data architecture, data engineering, and analytics platforms</li>\n <li>Proven experience leading architecture across multi-team, complex delivery environments</li>\n <li>Ability to communicate architectural concepts clearly to technical and executive stakeholders</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>NICE TO HAVE</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect certification</li>\n <li>Databricks Professional or Expert-level certifications</li>\n <li>Experience with Microsoft Fabric in Azure–Databricks hybrid architectures</li>\n <li>Industry domain experience such as Financial Services, Retail, Manufacturing, Energy, or Public Sector</li>\n <li>Experience contributing to architecture standards, accelerators, or practice governance</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>ABOUT ADASTRA</strong></p>\n<p>Adastra is a global leader in AI and data-driven transformation, helping organizations lead with artificial intelligence—responsibly, strategically, and at scale.
