Do you take pride in providing exceptional care and educating patients on the importance of oral hygiene? If so, Cumberland Pediatric Dentistry and Orthodontics is the place for you!</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>We are seeking a skilled Orthodontic Dental Assistant to join our team. We offer a supportive and collaborative work environment where you can grow and develop your skills while making a positive impact on patient's oral health.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Must be able to work in a pediatric, child-friendly environment</li>\n <li>Review all hygiene patient charts including; reason and necessity of visit, medical history, and x-ray requirement</li>\n <li>Verify patient information with parent or guardian, according to HIPAA privacy standards</li>\n <li>Verify the patient has consent for treatment from parent or guardian</li>\n <li>Advise parent or guardian what to expect in the visit and address any concerns</li>\n <li>Charting all existing/missing teeth, existing restorations, and/or dental procedures</li>\n <li>Obtaining all x-rays necessary in the best quality possible</li>\n <li>Maintaining accurate clinical notes of each visit</li>\n <li>Clean and sterilize all instruments following OSHA and company standards. This includes; scrubbing instruments, packing the instruments and processing them through the statim or autoclave sterilizer</li>\n <li>Must maintain Dental Assisting License in good standing and complete the CE Credits required by state</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Current State of TN RDA License</li>\n <li>Polishing and Radiology Certification</li>\n <li>High school diploma or equivalent </li>\n <li>Current CPR Healthcare Provider Certification Preferred </li>\n <li>Dental office experience preferred </li>\n <li>Since this position does require working with children, a criminal background check will be required. </li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Who we are</strong></p>\n<p>Cumberland was formed in 2012 by four dentists with a desire to make a difference.
