Due to the success and growth of the company, we are searching for a highly capable Electrical Engineer for the Secondary Structures and Electrical Department.</p>\n<p>We have several large detailed design projects in offshore wind, as well as a continuous stream of concept and FEED studies, plus design work on several innovative concepts (outside of the currently accepted foundation concepts for offshore wind), including floating structures. </p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Given our teams, clients and projects are spread internationally across Europe and East Asia, you may expect some travelling in relation to your work, both nationally and internationally. In addition, there may be opportunities during your employment for long-term or short-term postings abroad.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Areas of responsibility:</span></p>\n<p>As an Electrical Engineer, your main assignment will be to support the team in delivering an LV design package which will detail the integration and specification of LV components and associated cabling in the foundation of an offshore wind turbine. This will be across a range of projects from concept through to detailed design and fabrication support. Your daily activities will be:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Design an LV system and the associated interfaces with the tower including the specification of appropriate equipment, e.g. junction boxes, cabling</li>\n<li>Create and deliver LV design reports, for example, Illumination study, power studies, lightning protection studies</li>\n<li>Be responsible for the design and detailing of earthing and bonding across the structural design and the associated deliverables</li>\n<li>Interface with the Secondary structures engineering team for locating LV equipment and ensuring suitable access for operations and maintenance</li>\n<li>Produce cable schedules and determine the optimal cable routing, including interface with cable tray suppliers</li>\n<li>Ensure that the assigned scopes of LV systems are delivered on time, are of high quality, and are within budget.</li>\n<li>Interact with the client, HV cable supplier and the rest of the Wood Thilsted project team to determine and specify the required input parameters.</li>\n<li>Quality check of the work delivered along with the team.</li>\n<li>Determine the installation, testing and commissioning procedures and support during fabrication phase</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Your background</span>: You are expected to hold an engineering degree in electrical engineering, power, or control systems. You have strong analytical skills and more importantly, are activated to learn and collaborate in an international working environment with different stakeholders. </p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">It is essential that you:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Demonstrated 2-3 years experience in working with designing and specifying LV systems and components. Been responsible for the delivery of LV components, for example interface drawings, cable schedules and relevant reporting;</li>\n<li>Demonstrate a strong drive to fulfill your assignments and a willingness to take the initiative when faced with opportunities to exceed expectations. </li>\n<li>Are good at communicating effectively in English with colleagues, clients, consultants, and contractors through a variety of media, including both web-based telecommunication and face-to-face meetings;</li>\n<li>Are pro-active in your efforts to engage with others and learn;</li>\n<li>Have an innovative and solution-oriented mindset and at the same time courage to take on the challenges;</li>\n<li>Are a team player;</li>\n<li>Are well organized and able to keep track of multiple aspects of work, re-appraising and re-prioritizing activities throughout the project as both yourself and the client’s requirements evolve. </li>\n<li>Possess excellent numeracy, literacy, communication, and interpersonal skills;</li>\n<li>Are fluent in the use of standard office software such as MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">It is advantageous if you</span> </p>\n<ul>\n<li>have experience with offshore design requirements and standards</li>\n<li>have experience with Autocad, Dialux or Eplan or other drawing handling software</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\"><span>We offer excellent opportunities to influence your daily work, develop new competenc</span><span>i</span><span>es and work on interesting projects.
