This is a full-time, onsite role based at our headquarters in Denver, CO. As a Project Delivery Manager, you will lead execution for a major Element within a multi-billion-dollar development program. Working in close partnership with the Element Director, you will sit at the center of day-to-day delivery, resolving friction as it arises, ensuring commitments are met, and providing leadership with a clear view of schedule and cost performance. We are looking for our project coordinators to apply their technical expertise, problem solving skills, and dedication to quality to positively impact the future of energy! Equal Employment Opportunity Xcimer Energy is proud to be an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer and is committed to attracting, retaining, and developing a highly qualified, diverse, and dedicated work force. Xcimer Energy hires and promotes people on the basis of their qualifications, performance, and abilities. We support the establishment and maintenance of a workplace that fosters trust, equality, and teamwork, in which all employees recognize and appreciate the diversity of individual team members. We provide all qualified applicants for employment and employees with equal opportunities for hire, promotion, and other terms and conditions of employment, regardless of their race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin/ethnicity, age, physical or mental disability, genetic factors, military/veteran status, or any other status or characteristic protected by federal, state, and/or local law. Xcimer Energy will consider for employment qualified applicants with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable federal, state, and local laws. For more information on “EEO Is the Law,” please see here and here. Benefits Xcimer offers a comprehensive benefits package designed to support employee health, well-being, and long-term success. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision coverage; basic and supplemental life insurance; short- and long-term disability; paid parental leave for employees at the time of birth or adoption; and a 401(k) with a company match of up to 6%. Eligible employees also receive equity, allowing them to share in the company’s long-term success. Xcimer operates under a flexible Paid Time Off (ATO) approach. Rather than a fixed number of vacation days, employees are trusted to take the time they need to rest and recharge while meeting the expectations of their role and team. In addition, employees receive paid sick time, 13 company-paid holidays, and an annual paid company shutdown. Benefits are available to regular employees, including part-time and fixed-term roles, as well as interns, with eligibility varying by benefit. Responsibilities Serve as the execution lead for the Element, driving day-to-day delivery performance across Engineering, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain in alignment with technical direction from designated engineering leads. Translate subsystem-level objectives into coordinated, executable plans, and ensure cross-functional teams are operating against aligned priorities and commitments. Own the integrated execution strategy and activity sequencing for the Element, partnering with Program Planning & Controls to maintain the formal schedule baseline and reporting structure. Proactively identify integration risks, resource conflicts, and sequencing gaps; quantify impact and implement mitigation strategies in coordination with functional and program leadership. Lead recovery planning and realignment efforts when performance deviates from the plan, ensuring corrective actions are clearly defined, owned, and driven to completion across teams. Translate scope and design changes into clear execution, cost, and schedule impacts, enabling informed Program Director decision-making. Analyze performance against schedule and cost baselines, identifying emerging risks and advising on corrective actions. Work with engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain to continuously improve how work is planned, sequenced, and delivered. Operate as an extension of the Program Director, with delegated deputy Program Director responsibilities for specific priorities. Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physics, or a related field (Master’s preferred). Experience: 15+ years leading delivery of complex hardware programs (electro-optical/laser systems strongly preferred), including multi-disciplinary engineering, build/integration, and test/verification; 5+ years leading cross-functional teams. Strong financial acumen with experience managing multi-million-dollar budgets; EVMS/EIA-748 familiarity is a plus. Demonstrated experience managing integrated schedules within multidisciplinary engineering programs. Experience resolving resource conflicts across engineering, manufacturing, and supporting functions in complex development environments. Experience leading recovery efforts and coordinating cross-functional teams to address schedule or integration challenges. Experience working against cost baselines and supporting cost/schedule performance analysis in development programs. Demonstrated ability to identify execution risks early and implement structured, data-informed mitigation strategies. Experience partnering effectively with Program Planning & Controls organizations to maintain disciplined schedule and cost baselines. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence technical stakeholders without direct authority. Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum. Desired Experience supporting technology maturation and manufacturing scale-up within complex hardware development programs. Background in hardware integration and system-level test campaigns, including readiness reviews and build sequencing. Familiarity with structured risk management practices, including quantitative schedule risk assessment, to protect delivery commitments. Demonstrated capability integrating supplier schedules, long-lead procurement, and manufacturing readiness into element-level execution plans.
