    "description": "<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\"><span>GENERAL JOB PURPOSE/SUMMARY</span></span></p>\n<p><span>The purpose of the <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Senior Mechanic</span> is to ensure that all job assigned to mechanics are completed in a timely manner; ensure quality assurance and work with the Service Center Supervisor to ensure optimization of full potential of the Service Center through growth and development.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\"><span>ROLE SPECIFICATIONS</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span>Recommend process change improvements for administrative procedures of the service center.</span></li>\n<li><span>Recommend process change improvements for mechanical procedure of the service center team.</span></li>\n<li><span>Answering customer questions about services products via telephone or face to face.</span></li>\n<li><span>Check all vehicles, make diagnosis and recommendations of scope of work to be done and parts needed.</span></li>\n<li><span>Check all jobs and drive test vehicles after completion of work to ensure desired results for quality assurance and mechanical completeness.</span></li>\n<li><span>Making recommendations on the pricing of services.</span></li>\n<li><span>Recommend additional services to be added or services to be removed from offering by the service center.</span></li>\n<li><span>Provide technical advice on the parts that are deemed defective by customers.</span></li>\n<li><span>Ensure that all customers are registered and provided with a next-in-line number before work is started.</span></li>\n<li><span>Ensure cleanliness of workstations and maintenance of the work tools and equipment.</span></li>\n<li><span>Assist Supervisor with monthly reports to ensure accuracy and timely submission.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\"><span>EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span>Must have completed The Jamaica- German Automotive School (JAGAS) Motor Vehicle Repairs Level 3 or equivalent from a recognized institution.</span></li>\n<li><span>Must possess a minimum of 10 years of experience as a mechanic with 3 years in a similar position.</span></li>\n<li><span>Overseas or Dealership experience will be an advantage.</span></li>\n<li><span>Must possess a minimum of three (3) years' experience in the supervisory of mechanics</span></li>\n<li><span>Must possess technical knowledge in Automotive electrical systems, brake systems, engine systems, transmission, suspension, front end, motor vehicle computer systems fuel systems and Air condition systems.</span></li>\n<li><span>Ability to provide clear direction and performance feedback to the mechanics, effectively communicate with team members and customers as well take instruction from supervisor or management.</span></li>\n<li><span>Must be able to accurately assess vehicle, diagnose and troubleshoot issues and recommend corrective work/repairs to be done.</span></li>\n</ul>",
