We recognize and teach to individual strengths, responding to areas of challenge but never defining students by them.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The Head Coach for Girls Varsity Soccer is responsible for planning, organizing, managing, and directing the Upper School Girls Soccer Program.</p>\n<p>This position reports directly to the Director of Athletics, Coaching, and Mentoring.</p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Preferred Qualifications <br></span>The ideal candidate will have <br>experience as a Head Coach for Girls Varsity Soccer, College Coach, or Club-Level Coach, effective written and oral communication skills, a connection to the youth and local soccer community, an ability to build relationships and work well with others, and a sharp perspective on the role of athletics in the educational experience.</p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Essential Duties </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Offer positive leadership by coaching the Varsity Program</li>\n<li>Serve as an ambassador for the School and the Program by connecting and following up with interested scholar-athletes and families</li>\n<li>Conduct out-of-season programs within league rules, such as strength and conditioning, summer leagues, and pre- and post-season workouts</li>\n<li>Connect with K-8 students and families to promote participation and involvement in the program.</li>\n<li>Embrace the Core Values of McLean School and model behaviors consistent with those values</li>\n</ul>\n<p>McLean School is an equal opportunity employer and considers all qualified applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, ancestry, national origin, age, sex, marital status, sexual orientation, gender identity, family responsibilities, disability, genetic status, or any other characteristic protected by applicable law.
