Description
Position Summary:
The Salad Department Associate is responsible for preparing, assembling, portioning, and packaging salad products in a food manufacturing environment. This role ensures all products meet quality, safety, and sanitation standards while maintaining efficiency and adherence to company procedures and food safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare ingredients by washing, cutting, weighing, and portioning vegetables and other salad components Assemble salads according to standardized recipes and production guidelines Operate basic food processing and packaging equipment safely and efficiently Monitor product quality, ensuring consistency in appearance, taste, and portion size Follow all food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards (GMPs, HACCP, company policies) Maintain a clean and organized work area throughout the shift Label, package, and seal finished products accurately Perform routine cleaning and sanitation of tools, equipment, and workstations Report any food safety concerns, equipment issues, or product inconsistencies to supervisors Work collaboratively with team members to meet production targets and deadlines Follow proper handling and storage procedures to prevent contamination and waste Assist with inventory control by tracking ingredients and reporting shortages
