    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p><strong>Glenwood Behavioral Health is seeking a full time Financial Counselor at our Cincinnati location.</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Salary: $23.00 to $26.00 per hour</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>This is a  Monday to Friday day position.</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>High school diploma or equivalent required.</li>\n <li>Three or more years' experience in related field required. </li>\n <li>Extensive knowledge and understanding of Commercial Insurance and Medicare/Medicaid required.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>PURPOSE STATEMENT:</strong></p>\n<p>Responsible for accurate, timely and complete documentation regarding insurance verification, billing and collections. </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Responsible for auditing the admission packets and for the verification of benefits along with all patient demographic information in the patient accounting system.</li>\n <li>Financial counseling of patients and/or guarantors and collecting any out of pocket (deductibles, copays, exhausted days, etc). Provide information to the patient and/or guarantors regarding their benefits and financial obligations.</li>\n <li>Complete financial disclosure paperwork for patients that request assistance including verifying income and expenses.</li>\n <li>Complete adjustment forms for any charity or administrative adjustments for approval.</li>\n <li>Complete promissory notes for patients that request payment arrangements.</li>\n <li>Update daily the upfront collection log, charity log, and admin adjustment log.
