    "requisitionDescription": "<div><p>Position Summary:<br>Setup and operate buffing and polishing equipment to create a finished surface that meets print and customer specifications.</p><p>Essential Duties and Responsibilities:<br>&bull;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Daily polishing and heat treating of product.<br>&bull;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Setup and operate polishing and buffing equipment from print specifications.<br>&bull;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Polish instruments per blueprint, utilizing a variety of grit belts and wheels to achieve desired finish.<br>&bull;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Select appropriate abrasives according to material type, finished specified and steps in the finishing process.<br>&bull;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Grind, sand, clean or polish parts to correct defects or to prepare surfaces for further finishing.<br>&bull;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Verify quality of finished workpieces by inspecting them and measuring their dimensions to ensure polishing standards and blueprint specifications are met.<br>&bull;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Follow company work instructions and standard operating procedures for the polishing department.<br>&bull;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Complete assigned jobs in accordance with production timelines.<br>&bull;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Perform preventative maintenance and upkeep on polishing equipment including replacing worn components and maintain the maintenance logs as required.<br>&bull;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Maintain a clean and orderly work area.<br>&bull;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Meet and maintain established production efficiency and effectiveness standards for the polishing process.<br>&bull;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Ensure proper and complete documentation of all required paperwork and production data in ERP system. Maintain all documentation as required.<br>&bull;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Complete all documentation per ISO 13485 and FDA requirements.<br>&bull;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;All other duties as assigned.</p><p>Knowledge, Skills &amp; Competencies:<br>&bull;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, and quality control.<br>&bull;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;3+ years of experience in polishing stainless steel, titanium and aluminum preferred.<br>&bull;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Experience is ISO/FDA environment preferred.<br>&bull;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Ability to read and interpret blueprints and hold tight tolerances.<br>&bull;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Proficient in the use of machine shop measuring tools.<br>&bull;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Proficient in math, including the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.<br>&bull;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Excellent manual dexterity and hand/eye coordination.<br>&bull;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Ability to be highly accurate with a high attention to detail.<br>&bull;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Sound understanding of the principles of the various products.<br>&bull;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Possess strong mechanical aptitude.<br>&bull;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve work issues.<br>&bull;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Ability to read and comprehend work instructions and ISO &amp; FDA regulations.<br>&bull;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Ability to repeat the same physical and mental activities over and over.<br>&bull;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Ability to maintain a sense of urgency, handle stressful situations, multitask and ability to prioritize work.<br>&bull;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Ability to work in a team environment as well as autonomously.<br>&bull;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Ability to communicate and interact effectively, professionally and constructively.</p><p>Work Environment:<br>&bull;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.<br>&bull;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Includes exposure to sounds and noise levels that can be distracting or uncomfortable.<br>&bull;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Includes exposure to moving mechanical parts.<br>&bull;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Includes exposure to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals.<br>&bull;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Work environment is temperature controlled.<br><br>The work environment described here is representative of that which an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
