    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p>The Commercial Vehicle Products Group at Garrett Advancing Motion is looking for a Design Engineer to support the development of cutting-edge new products to meet ever increasing demands of the transportation industry. This position requires a basic understanding of turbochargers &amp; vehicle systems combined with creativity and drive to develop new products based on customer needs. Responsibility spans from supporting concept development of complex projects, support through test/validation and launch. The Design Engineer leads the application design integrating all aspects from rotor systems and mechanics.&nbsp;</p><p>Responsibilities of the Position:&nbsp;<br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Work with cross-functional teams including Development Engineering, Program Management, Product Engineering, Manufacturing and Supply Base to ensure robust designs.&nbsp;<br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Use internal standards &amp; industry experience to design complex systems, that meet customer specific requirements &amp; packaging space.&nbsp;<br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Have strong focus on built in quality. Design complex parts and assemblies, applying Design for Manufacturing, cost &amp; Reliability fundamentals.&nbsp;<br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Lead design activity for customer programs and coordinate with other supporting designers.&nbsp;<br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Support design reviews and Internal / External customer presentations.&nbsp;<br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Own product life cycle management process, from CAD Data creation to release in PLM.&nbsp;<br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Work in a fast-paced environment with competing requirements and challenging deadlines.&nbsp;<br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Mentor other engineers and designers to help prepare them for greater project responsibilities<br>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Requirements</strong><br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or related<br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;5+ years of work experience designing mechanical and aerodynamic devices/components/systems.&nbsp;<br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Strong CAD skills including solids, surfaces, complex geometries, and 2D creation.&nbsp;<br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;5+ years’ experience with 3D design &amp; drafting complex parts &amp; systems.&nbsp;<br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Proficiency with ASME Geometric Dimensioning &amp; Tolerancing. Knowledge of 2D/3D Tolerance Stack up of complex assemblies required.&nbsp;<br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Experience with Enovia PLM / SmarTeam / Team Center PDM Systems or equivalent.&nbsp;<br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Experience in design for Metal Castings, Machined Parts, Sheet metal forming, &amp; part assembly processes.&nbsp;<br>&nbsp;</p>",
