          "text": "<p><strong>How will you make a difference?&#xa0;</strong>&#xa0;</p><p>The “Validation Engineer – Testing”&#xa0;is responsible for&#xa0;developing test strategies, systems, and documentation for GE/Wabtec Train Performance products to ensure compliance&#xa0;to&#xa0;all standards, system requirements, and customer requirements.  In this role, you will&#xa0;demonstrate&#xa0;accountability for functional, business, and targeted company&#xa0;objectives.&#xa0;</p><p><strong>What will your typical day look like?</strong>&#xa0;</p><ul><li>Develop test strategies to maximize Validation Team potential and efficiency.&#xa0;</li><li>Drive execution of manual and automated testing to provide evidence of completed Test Plan.&#xa0;</li><li>Drive execution of manual and automated testing to provide evidence of&#xa0;requirements&#xa0;coverage and traceability.&#xa0;</li><li>Investigate and thoroughly communicate software defects.&#xa0;</li><li>Hold design reviews for test planning and reporting.&#xa0;</li><li>Work with global teams to define global standards and achieve local goals.&#xa0;</li><li>Mentor cross functional team members.&#xa0;</li></ul><p><strong>What do we want to know about you?&#xa0;</strong>&#xa0;</p><ul><li>Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Management or in “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)&#xa0;</li><li>2-4&#xa0;years experience&#xa0;in an embedded software testing environment. &#xa0;</li><li>Work closely with other engineering teams to ensure system&#xa0;functional&#xa0;and interface requirements are met.&#xa0;</li></ul><p><em>Desired Characteristics:</em>&#xa0;</p><ul><li>Strong knowledge of validation test execution,&#xa0;requirements&#xa0;traceability, defect reporting, and automation concepts.&#xa0;</li><li>Strong C, C++ and/or Visual Basic development and software architecture skills.&#xa0;</li><li>Experience creating automated applications using NI-LabVIEW&#xa0;</li><li>Demonstrated initiative, drive, communication, &amp; interpersonal skills&#xa0;</li><li>Experience in controls and software processes for Freight Rail applications&#xa0;</li><li>Experience with Agile development principles&#xa0;</li><li>Experience in Agile software development environments including Scrum or Kanban.&#xa0;</li><li>Experience with software configuration management tools such as SVN or GIT.&#xa0;</li><li>Freight Locomotive control Software Embedded Software Testing.&#xa0;</li><li>Proven&#xa0;track record&#xa0;of technical contribution&#xa0;</li><li>Ability to influence team and technical decisions &#xa0;</li><li>Strong communication&#xa0;skills including the ability to present to customers and Wabtec Executives in a clear and concise manner &#xa0;</li><li>Expertise&#xa0;in engineering methodologies and tools &#xa0;</li><li>Previous&#xa0;experience leading teams, either in a direct or matrixed environment&#xa0;</li></ul>",
