    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p><i><strong>Positions for 1st, 2nd and Weekend shift</strong></i></p>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p><strong>Minimum Job Requirements:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Considerable skill required in the use of various types of paint to obtain automotive standard finishes.</li>\n <li>Must be able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures manuals.</li>\n <li>Must be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals; compute rates, ratios and percentages.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Must be able to create/interpret various data collection tools.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p><strong>Essential Job Functions:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>May be required to hand blast and operate an 8–12 wheel roto blaster.</li>\n <li>Use of wet &amp; dry film thickness gauges.</li>\n <li>Understand and follow hazard waste barrel guidelines.</li>\n <li>Operate orbital sander to prepare units, parts and/or any sub-straight material prior to finish.</li>\n <li>Prepare units and parts by using masking tape, caps, plugs, plastic, etc. when needed to protect areas from coming in contact with paint.</li>\n <li>Use overheads, Blue Giants and/or forklifts to load and unload parts carts or monorail systems.</li>\n <li>Ensure all parts and units are free and clean of grease, oil and/or any other containment that may jeopardize paint integrity.</li>\n <li>Monitor and measure air flow using an anemometer.</li>\n <li>Mix finishes to the correct ratio prior to application.</li>\n <li>Detect and report defective materials per work instructions.</li>\n <li>Operate airless spray, HVLP, air assisted spray and/or electro-static spray equipment to apply base, protective and/or finished coats.</li>\n <li>Monitor viscosity of all finishes daily by using various Zahn cups.</li>\n <li>Maintain cleanliness on all spray related equipment.</li>\n <li>Apply any required decals to completed units per decal installation drawings.</li>\n <li>Complete SPC charts and/or titration of washers daily.</li>\n <li>Other duties as determined by supervision.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<strong>Working Environment:</strong></p>\n<p>&nbsp;The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.&nbsp; Incumbent will work in a typical paint environment including the use of solvents, adhesives, hydraulic oil, petroleum products, etc.&nbsp; There is frequent lifting and/or moving of up to 50 pounds.&nbsp;</p>\n<p><strong>Education &amp; Experience Requirements:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<strong>Health &amp; Safety Requirements:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Maintain departmental housekeeping and 5S standards.</li>\n <li>Perform job functions in a safe manner.</li>\n <li>Wear all Personal Protective Equipment (P.P.E.) required by Company Policy for the job being performed.</li>\n <li>Know and follow established job specific and facility wide safety and health procedures and rules.</li>\n <li>Actively participate in safety and health training and demonstrate competency based on training received.</li>\n <li>Bring safety and health issues, unsafe acts, and safety suggestions to management’s attention or correct those you can.</li>\n <li>Employees who are required to wear half or full face respirators must take and pass a pulmonary function test annually, as well as be fit tested annually and must complete a medical surveillance questionnaire each year.</li>\n <li>No facial hair is permitted that may interfere with the seal of the respirator.</li>\n <li>Areas that utilize air supplied hoods; there are no medical requirement but must complete a medical surveillance questionnaire each year.</li>\n <li>Responsible for collection of paint related waste associated with pain gun flush activities.&nbsp; Painters will receive introductory and annual training related to the hazardous waste collection of gun flush solvent.&nbsp; Training will cover hazards of hazardous waste, collection methods, spill prevention methods, bonding/grounding to be utilized, emergency shutdown procedures for paint/solvent lines, proper labeling and dating of containers, storage requirements and time frames, spill reporting and emergency evacuation procedures, and containment procedures.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<strong>Preferred Qualifications:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Possess basic computer skills with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications.</li>\n <li>Forklift certification</li>\n</ul>",
