    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><div><div><div><div><p data-pasted=\"true\"><strong>Position and Company Summary</strong></p><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><p>The <strong>Maintenance Technician</strong> is responsible for ensuring that all manufacturing equipment and building systems operate at peak efficiency. &nbsp;They troubleshoot and repair equipment to keep harvesting equipment running safely and operating at peak efficiency. &nbsp;Using their knowledge and experience, they provide insight to improve equipment to deliver better performance.&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;This is a 40-hour a week position; weekend work may be required<strong><u>&nbsp;</u></strong></p><p><strong><u>Duties and Responsibilities</u></strong></p><ul><li>Respond quickly to repair equipment and components to minimize downtime</li><li>Work closely with management and supervisors to determine priorities and courses of action to improve uptime, product quality and employee safety</li><li>Plan and perform maintenance activities to minimize downtime</li><li>Participate in the improvement of our preventative maintenance system</li><li>Assist in the implementation of new PM procedures and use it to control and record maintenance activities</li><li>Perform PM activities on a timely basis and keep records of the activity and the components used</li><li>Help maintain an adequate inventory of spare parts</li><li>Keep all tools and machine shop equipment in workable condition</li><li>At all times work in a manner that maintains the safety of themselves and others</li><li>Maintain safety guards on equipment</li><li>Work extra hours as required to keep production equipment running&nbsp;</li><li>Perform other duties as assigned.</li></ul><p><strong><u>Essential Qualifications</u></strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Strong ability to troubleshoot and problem solve equipment issues</li></ul><ul><li>Ability to plan, organize, multi-task, and prioritize in a fast-paced environment</li><li>Able to work independently and as part of a team</li><li>High Initiative, self-motivation, flexibility, accountability and reliability</li><li>Ability to maintain a professional demeanor when interacting with teammates, customers and suppliers</li><li>Strong work ethic</li></ul><p><strong><u>Education and Experience</u></strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>3+ years&rsquo; experience in a maintenance technician role</li><li>Knowledge safeguarding and safety procedures</li><li>Ability to weld considered an asset</li><li>Skilled Trade Certification considered an asset</li><li>Experience working with agricultural equipment considered an asset</li></ul><p>&nbsp;<strong><u>Job requirements:</u></strong></p><ul><li>Ability to read, write, and speak English.</li><li>Must have own means of transportation to and from work.</li></ul><p><em>&nbsp;</em><strong><u>Physical Demands:</u></strong>&nbsp; <em>The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
