Responsible for adhering to CVMC/ departmental policies, procedures, and philosophy to deliver quality patient care, practicing within the guidelines of the North Carolina State Nurse Practice Act and abiding by the CVMC Nursing Bylaws.\n</div>\n<div><b><br/></b>\n</div>\n<div><b>Education and Credentials:</b>\n</div>\n<div><b><br/></b>\n</div>\n<div><b> Required:</b>\n</div>\n<div>\n <ul>\n  <li>Graduate of accredited nursing program.</li>\n  <li>Current NC RN license or licensure from Nursing Compact State. <br/></li>\n  <li>BCLS certification. If the BCLS certification is not from the American Heart Association (AHA), an AHA certification is required within three months of employment date.&nbsp;</li>\n </ul><b>Additional Requirements by Practice Area</b>\n</div>\n<div>\n <ul>\n  <li><b>Birthing Center</b> : ACLS and NRP within three months of employment date.</li>\n  <li><b>Critical Care Unit</b>: ACLS within three months of employment date.</li>\n  <li><b>Day Surgery</b>: ACLS and PALS within three months of employment date.</li>\n  <li><b>Emergency Dept.</b>: ACLS and PALS within three months of employment date.Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Certification within three months of employment date.</li>\n  <li><b>Heart and Vascular Services</b>: ACLS and PALS within three months of employment date.</li>\n  <li><b>Infusion Center</b>: Full-time RNs: Chemotherapy certified via ONS/ONCC Chemo/Immunotherapy Certificate Course within eight months of employment date; renewed every two years.</li>\n  <li><b>Inpatient Rehabilitation</b>: Quality Indicator credentialing within three months of employment date.</li>\n  <li><b>Intermediate Care Unit</b>: ACLS within three months of employment date.</li>\n  <li><b>Level III Nursery</b>: NRP within three months of employment date.<br/>STABLE within one year of employment date, renewal not required.</li>\n  <li><b>Newborn Nursery</b>: NRP within three months of employment date.<br/>STABLE within one year of employment date, renewal not required.</li>\n  <li><b>Oncology</b>: ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy/Immunotherapy Certificate Course within one year of employment date and renewed every two years.</li>\n  <li><b>Radiation Oncology</b>: ONS Radiation Oncology Certificate Program within one year of employment date.</li>\n  <li><b>PACU</b>: ACLS and PALS within three months of employment date.</li>\n  <li><b>Pediatrics</b>: PALS within three months of employment date.</li>\n  <li><b>Psychiatry</b>: Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Certification within three months of employment date and renewed at least bi-annually for the first year and annually thereafter.<br/></li>\n </ul>\n</div>\n<div><b> Preferred:</b>\n</div>\n<div><b><br/></b>\n</div>\n<div>\n BSN (BSN enrollment and completion requirements may apply), specialty course work and certification in area of practice. <b><br/></b>\n</div>\n<div><b><br/></b>\n</div>\n<div><b>Work Experience:</b>\n</div>\n<div><b><br/></b>\n</div>\n<div><b> Required:</b>\n</div>\n<div><b><br/></b>\n</div>\n<div>\n No previous experience required, except as listed below.
