    "description": "<p>Houston Landscapes Ltd. (Business address 260 Riverside Dr, North Vancouver, BC V7H 1V1) is seeking experience Senior Landscape Carpenter for its location in North Vancouver, BC. It’s a full-time (40 hours per week), permanent position, $37.00 - $40.00/hour (depending on experience), paid on a bi-weekly basis. Overtime compensation is based on the current BC Employment Standards Act (1.5 times the regular wage paid if the daily hours exceed 8 hours or the weekly hours exceed 40 hours).</p>\n<p>We offer an employee benefit plan that includes health benefits available after 6 months with the company. Two weeks of paid vacation each year.</p>\n<p>Location of employment: Vancouver Mainland</p>\n<p>Job duties:</p>\n<p>-    Interpret blueprints, sketches, and building plans to determine layout, dimensions, and materials required;<br>-    Lead the execution of carpentry aspects of landscape construction projects, including decks, garden walls, walkways, stairs, retaining walls, water features, and outdoor structures;<br>-    Inspect existing structures and perform repairs or replacements of damaged framework, fixtures, and components using hand and power tools;<br>-    Measure, cut, and shape materials to required specifications with attention to quality and accuracy;<br>-    Ensure compliance with safety standards and proactively maintain a safe and organized work environment;<br>-    Provide guidance and technical directions to labourers or entry-level carpenters;<br>-    Work independently on assigned tasks while following project specifications and timelines;<br>-    Maintain a safe and clean work environment in accordance with established safety practices;<br>-    Complete daily records of work performed, including time and materials used.<br>Requirements: </p>\n<p>-    Completion of secondary school is required;<br>-    Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is required;<br>-    Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Carpenter or a combination of relevant work experience and formal training;<br>-    Strong manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination;<br>-    Ability to perform physically demanding work and lift and carry heavy materials;<br>-    Ability to work independently with minimum supervision;<br>-    Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in environments that may include working at heights, in confined, noisy, and/or dusty conditions;<br>-    Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and task planning skills;<br>-    Willingness to work in various weather conditions;<br></p>",
