    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p><strong>Excavation Manager</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>We have an excellent opportunity for an Excavation Manager at our Tampa branch.  The pay range for this position is $80,000-$90,000, depending on experience.  There is also opportunity for a branch performance based bonus. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The Excavation Manager’s main priority is to increase excavation business volume by developing existing business, cultivating new customers, improving the skills of assigned service technicians, and ensuring optimum use of staffing and equipment.   The Excavation Manager will have expertise in underground pipe repair and replacement, pipe bursting/relining, and manhole rehabilitation.  Individual performance targets vary from branch or may be market specific.  All other duties as assigned.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p>Develops Existing Business</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Monitors the progress of the work-site through successful completion.</li>\n <li>May serve as primary contact for customer.</li>\n <li>Oversees job to ensure proper permits and licenses issues have been addressed.</li>\n <li>Develop additional business opportunities by selling Roto-Rooter’s preventative maintenance and priority care programs.</li>\n <li>Develop relationships with customers to build customer loyalty. </li>\n <li>Handle customer questions, complaints and praise.</li>\n <li>Prepare bid packages and performs estimates.</li>\n <li>Responsible for meeting branch profitability standards and ensuring proper and accurate code-out of all excavation jobs.</li>\n <li>Works with Dispatchers to ensure qualified individuals are dispatched to mainline opportunities to provide customer options of needed repair.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Cultivating New Business</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Identify bid opportunities, prepares bid packages, and performs estimates for jobs.</li>\n <li>Work closely with other management personnel to identify excavation sales opportunities.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Technician Skills Development and Supervision</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Conduct on-the-job training for excavation technicians and laborers.</li>\n <li>Assist personnel on new assignments.</li>\n <li>Efficient scheduling of personnel, equipment, and rentals.</li>\n <li>Work closely with service technicians and commercial sales representatives in the selling and estimating process.</li>\n <li>Effective supervision of excavation staff. </li>\n <li>May supervise video sales technician.</li>\n <li>Must be able to effectively operate and troubleshoot equipment operated by subordinates.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Safety and Loss Prevention</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Conduct safety training programs excavation technicians and laborers.</li>\n <li>Conduct routine inspections of equipment (i.e.: trucks, safety equipment, uniforms) to ensure that company policies and regulatory agency requirements are being enforced.</li>\n <li>Conducts work-site spot checks to evaluate safety procedure compliance.</li>\n <li>Issues safety kits and maintain restocking supplies.</li>\n <li>Make necessary changes to comply with safety policy and requirements.</li>\n <li>Monitors employee compliance with safety policies and requirements.</li>\n <li>Takes necessary corrective action with employees who fail to comply with safety policies and requirements.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Efficient Use of Equipment</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Conduct quarterly inspections of equipment to ensure that company policies and regulatory agency requirements are being enforced.</li>\n <li>Ensure vehicles are being properly used and maintained.</li>\n <li>Maintain inventory of required parts and supplies.</li>\n <li>Assign work and equipment in the most efficient manner possible.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Requirements</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Must have a valid driver's license.</li>\n <li>High School diploma or equivalent required. </li>\n <li>3-5 years prior excavation experience; plumbing and sewer and drain knowledge a plus.</li>\n <li>Prior supervisory experience preferred.</li>\n <li>May be required to hold a plumbing license, depending on local requirements.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Benefits</h2>\n<p>At Roto-Rooter we believe our greatest investment is in our employees.
