Description

OVERVIEW Cadrex is searching for a Precision Sheet Metal Manufacturing Engineer I to develop and implements optimal, cost-effective manufacturing processes and methods in accordance with product specifications and quality standards; recommends and implements improvements to production processes, methods, and controls; coordinates manufacturing launch for new or revised products. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Develop manufacturing processes by studying product requirements; researching, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment; conferring with equipment vendors Evaluate existing manufacturing processes and workflows to identify potential areas of improvement Carry out process improvement, problem resolution, and project management Improve manufacturing processes and methods for cost-reduction, quality improvement and efficiency Prepare and present plans for the above and coordinate deployment including training of team members Perform research, design and development of manufacturing processes including production flow, assembly methods and production equipment Prepare and maintain detailed layouts of buildings and equipment Coordinate the manufacturing launch of new/revised products including establishing goals, training team members, and evaluating results Create processes and procedures to help the company meet budgetary goals as well as performance quotas Establish an effective and efficient work sequence Devise new solutions to existing manufacturing problems Design, develop and test sources and cost-justify various tools, fixtures, machinery, and equipment for recommended manufacturing methods Performs product/process analysis for cost reduction, quality improvement, safety, improved efficiency, and training opportunities
