    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p><strong>Position Summary:&nbsp;</strong></p><p><span>Responsible for blending and mixing of various pigments, resins, hardeners, and other raw material additives to produce acceptable in-process batches per approved batch instruction sheets with a minimal number of corrections.</span></p><p><strong>Essential Functions:&nbsp;</strong></p><ul><li><span>Stages and prepares all raw materials associated with production batches</span></li><li><span>Maintains orderliness and cleanliness in batch making area and proper storage of batch area inventories</span></li><li><span>Communicates low levels of raw materials to the Plant Supervisor</span></li><li><span>Develops a thorough knowledge of raw material storage tanks, valving and piping, their contents, actuation, and directions of flow</span></li><li><span>Maintains a good working relationship with Quality Control</span></li><li><span>Must be capable of logical structuring of the batch making process, particularly optimization of mixer usage and efficiency</span></li><li><span>Reports on all spills and leaks, equipment malfunction, safety hazards, accidents, near-miss accidents, and material shortages immediately to the production supervisor</span></li><li><span>Acknowledges and understands the hazards and safety precautions required for working with inorganic metal-based powdered pigments and modifies work and hygiene practices accordingly.</span></li></ul><p><strong>Preferred Requirements:</strong></p><ul><li><span>Some college level chemistry&nbsp;</span></li><li><span>Sector-specific batching/manufacturing experience</span></li></ul><p><span><strong>Minimum Requirements:</strong></span></p><ul><li><span>High school diploma or GED</span></li><li><span>Minimum 2 years prior related experience or 1 years’ experience as a production batchmaker.</span></li><li><span>Ability to take initiative in completing assigned work and projects.</span></li><li><span>Excellent organizational and multi-tasking abilities.</span></li><li><span>Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise.</span></li><li><span>Strong communication skills.</span></li></ul><p><span><strong>Physical Requirements:</strong></span></p><ul><li><span>Must pass standard eye exam (corrected or uncorrected) and must pass standard color-tone testing</span></li><li><span>Must be capable of wearing Company standard respirators as qualified by a fit test performed by an authorized agency</span></li><li><span>Lifting up to 50 lbs.</span></li><li><span>Stooping, bending, squatting up to 50% of the time</span></li><li><span>Standing and walking up to 90% of the time.</span></li><li><span>This position requires consistent wearing of safety glasses, gloves, long pants, and closed-toe shoes; with additional specific PPE depending on the chemicals or materials handled, which could include respirators, hearing protection, or specialized gloves for hazardous substances.</span></li></ul><p style=\"background-color:white;line-height:15.0pt;vertical-align:baseline;\"><span style=\"color:black;\"><strong>Benefits and Compensation</strong></span></p><p style=\"background-color:white;line-height:15.0pt;vertical-align:baseline;\"><span style=\"color:black;\">The pay range for applicants in this position generally ranges between $21.00/hour and $23.00/hour.
