The Engineering Designer will work closely under the supervision of a Professional Engineer, contributing to engineering calculations, drafting, and coordination of multiple engineering disciplines. This role requires a knowledge of engineering principles, relevant design software such as OpenRoads, MicroStation and AutoCAD, as well as strong communication, technical writing skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Develop design and prepare drawings for a variety of projects.</li>\n <li>Perform engineering calculations, interpret engineering drawings and specifications.</li>\n <li>Assist with proposal preparation including scope, schedule and fee, contract management and billing.</li>\n <li>Coordinate and work with multiple engineering disciplines and perform drafting/CADD work.</li>\n <li>Conduct site visits to gather data, including measurements, sketches, notes, and photographs.</li>\n <li>Prepare design calculations, drawings, specifications, and cost estimates for review and approval.</li>\n <li>Review and approve shop drawings and ensure that they meet project requirements.</li>\n <li>Read and interpret technical documents necessary for job performance.</li>\n <li>Consult and coordinate with other practices and sub-consultants as required to ensure project success.</li>\n <li>Attend bi-weekly (or more frequent, as necessary) meetings with the project team to discuss project progress and tasks.</li>\n <li>Ensure that all projects fulfill ISO compliance requirements and operate within specified budget parameters.</li>\n <li>Complete all tasks on time and within budget while fully meeting project scope.</li>\n <li>Achieve or exceed budgeted individual utilization targets.</li>\n <li>Comply with all company policies and procedures.</li>\n <li>Complete other duties as required or assigned.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><em>* Essential Duties and Responsibilities are the basic job functions that an employee must be able to perform, with or without reasonable accommodation.</em> </p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Education and/or Skills Required: </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.</li>\n <li>Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an ABET-Accredited Program </li>\n <li>Proficiency in required design software such as MicroStation, OpenRoads and AutoCAD.</li>\n <li>Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.</li>\n <li>Good communication and technical writing skills.</li>\n <li>Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.</li>\n <li>Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.</li>\n <li>Pre-employment drug screening is a condition of employment. Background and motor vehicle checks may be required based upon position.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Certificates, licenses, and/or Registrations Required: </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Valid Driver’s License </li>\n <li>Ability to maintain required certification.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Certificates, licenses, and/or Registrations Preferred:  </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification </li>\n</ul>",
