    "requisitionDescription": "\n    <link href=\"https://static.workforcenow.adp.com/mas/mdf-components/23.23.16/styles/froala_editor.pkgd.min.css\" rel=\"stylesheet\" type=\"text/css\" />\n    <link href=\"https://static.workforcenow.adp.com/mas/mdf-components/23.23.16/styles/froala_style.min.css\" rel=\"stylesheet\" type=\"text/css\" />\n\n    <div class=\"fr-view\">\n      <div><link href=\"https://static.workforcenow.adp.com/mas/mdf-components/23.18.17/styles/froala_editor.pkgd.min.css\" rel=\"stylesheet\" type=\"text/css\">&nbsp;<link href=\"https://static.workforcenow.adp.com/mas/mdf-components/23.18.17/styles/froala_style.min.css\" rel=\"stylesheet\" type=\"text/css\"><div class=\"fr-view\"><p><strong id=\"isPasted\">Located in Woodland, WA, LifePort is the leading manufacturer of medical transportation and interior products as well as ballistic armor protection systems for fixed and rotary wing aircraft. &nbsp;From large multi-aircraft projects to small custom projects, LifePort supplies the industry&rsquo;s largest aerospace OEMs and end users with the finest aviation solutions today.</strong></p><p><br></p><p id=\"isPasted\"><strong>Position Overview:</strong>&nbsp;</p><p>The Cost Accounting Manager reports to the Controller, and is responsible for accurately processing, analyzing, and recording the daily business transactions of the company. &nbsp;Additionally, the position is responsible for ensuring all business activity is in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles and executed with appropriate financial management techniques and practices.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Essential Functions:&nbsp;</strong></p><ul><li>Maintain the confidence of the corporation&rsquo;s shareholders, lenders and board members through timely, accurate, and reliable financial reporting</li><li>Support financial reporting by creating and reporting key variance analysis</li><li>Partner across internal teams, solving complex business scenarios</li><li>Identify, create, and perform key internal controls</li><li>Participate in the month-end close process, including preparation of monthly journal entries, reserves and accruals; and reconciliation of balance sheet accounts</li><li>Execute annual companywide E&amp;O/warranty reserve analysis and work cross functionally to reduce excess positions</li><li>Assist in Divisional FP&amp;A and associated forecasting as needed</li><li>Annual development and review of overhead rates</li><li>Ensure profitable commercial contracts and customer deal analysis</li><li>Extensive knowledge and experience with technical US GAAP, intercompany accounting and consolidation, and internal control development and documentation</li><li>Support all other functional areas with world class metrics (KPI&rsquo;s) that helps them achieve their objectives</li><li>Partner with GM&rsquo;s in implementing working capital improvement initiatives</li><li>Financial statement consolidation&nbsp;</li><li>Fixed Asset Management</li><li>Bi Weekly payroll Review</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Job Specifications (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities):</strong></p><ul><li>Ability to set priorities, meet deadlines, and multitask</li><li>Excellent organization skills with strong attention to detail</li><li>Excellent teamwork skills and high degree of initiative required</li><li>Excellent communication both written and verbal</li><li>Must be proficient with MS Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)</li><li>Working knowledge of ERP systems</li><li>Cost accounting and inventory valuation critical&nbsp;</li><li>Excellent interpersonal and teamwork capabilities</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Education, Certifications and Experience:</strong></p><ul><li>10+ years of progressive industry experience in accounting</li><li>Bachelor&#39;s Degree in Accounting or Finance</li><li>CPA license preferred but not required</li><li>Aerospace experience a plus</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Physical Demands and Work Environment:</strong></p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Working conditions are normal for that of a manufacturing/machine shop/office environment.&nbsp;</p><p>All employees are expected to adhere to Company safety policies and wear personal protective equipment when exposed to work areas or performing tasks where it is required.</p><p>Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
