This position plays a vital role in advancing critical mission objectives within a highly regulated and technically demanding environment.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>As a trusted partner to government agencies and national laboratories, Omega Technical Services supports some of the nation's most complex and high-impact programs. Through these strategic collaborations, Omega contributes directly to the strength, security, and sustainability of the U.S. Nuclear Security Enterprise.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Highly skilled in Computer Aided Design (CAD) with demonstrated experience with computer aided.</li>\n <li>Use drafting applications to originate and produce drawings and 3D models of moderate to advanced complexity.</li>\n <li>3D modeling experience required (S3D preferred) Read, interpret, and generate design drawings of moderate to advanced complexity with minimal supervision from engineering.</li>\n <li>Must have the ability to walk down field systems with minimal guidance, interpret field direction, generate advanced design details, create new drawings, modify existing drawings, and direct, check and approve work done by other designers.</li>\n <li>Ability to develop estimates, schedules, staffing requirements, progress reports, key quantities tracking reports, project scope of services, scope of facilities etc.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Education Requirements</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>A combination of education and ten (10) years of experience (associate degree preferred) in drafting related to Engineering and Construction (nuclear preferred)</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen. </li>\n <li>Satisfactory results of a pre-employment screening, which includes a drug and breath alcohol test, along with a Motor Vehicle Record check. </li>\n <li>Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a DOE Security Clearance.</li>\n <li><p>Must have a working knowledge of federal (including Department of Energy Orders), state,</p><p>and local codes and standards applicable to specialized (nuclear or other areas) engineering design.</p></li>\n <li><p>Background and experience must include drafting / designer experience in engineering</p><p>fields, such as electrical, mechanical, structural, communications, architectural, fire</p><p>protection, or civil.</p> </li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Preferred Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Possession of an active DOE/DoD clearance within the past two (2) years is preferred. </li>\n <li>Previous DOE/NNSA work experience. </li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Work Schedule</h2>Shift will be dependent upon customer site discretion.\n<h2>Why Omega Technical Services?</h2>\n<p>Omega Technical Services is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business and a trusted partner to the Department of Energy, Department of Defense, and other commercial clients, supporting mission-critical projects that shape national security and technological innovation.
