In this hands-on production role, you will execute painting jobs end-to-end, including surface preparation, mixing coatings, spray application, and final quality inspection and cleanup.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">As our new Spray Painter, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality finishes that meet strict standards for appearance, durability, and colour consistency. You will work with industrial spray equipment and surface preparation tools in a fast-paced environment where precision, consistency, and attention to detail are essential, contributing directly to product quality and continuous improvement.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-style: italic\">This is a full-time hourly contract role (approximately 6 months), working day shift (7:30am–4:30pm Monday to Thursday, and 7:30am–2:00pm Friday), on-site at our Scarborough manufacturing facility, with potential for permanent employment depending on business needs.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-weight: bold\">What’s in it for you</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\"><span style=\"font-style: italic\">Ownership and pride in your craft.</span> This is a role for someone who takes pride in delivering high-quality surface finishes. You will gain exposure to a range of coatings, substrates, and finishing requirements. </span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-weight: bold\">As our new Spray Painter, you will:</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Prepare surfaces and materials.</span> You will clean, sand, and mask components to ensure proper surface preparation and paint adhesion. You will mix paints and coatings to achieve accurate colour matches and consistent finishes, including adjustments for viscosity and application requirements.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Execute spray painting work.</span> You will apply paint and coatings using spray equipment to achieve even coverage, correct thickness, and high-quality finishes. You will adjust spray settings and techniques based on material type and product requirements. You will identify and correct surface or finish defects such as runs, uneven coverage, or contamination.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Inspect and maintain quality standards.</span> You will inspect completed work for defects and ensure all painted products meet internal quality standards. You will support collaboration with the quality and production teams to ensure consistency and alignment with specifications.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Maintain equipment and work area.</span> You will perform routine cleaning and maintenance of spray guns, booths, and related equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety. You will promptly report equipment issues or safety concerns to the supervisor.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Adhere to policies and procedures.</span> You will follow all WHMIS requirements and Occupational Health &amp; Safety Act &amp; Regulations, as well as company safety policies and procedures. You will ensure safe handling of paints, coatings, and hazardous materials at all times.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-weight: bold\">You have:</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">The background.</span> You have several years of hands-on experience in spray painting, ideally in a manufacturing, automotive, industrial, or production environment. A high school diploma or equivalent is required; additional training or certification in spray painting or coatings is an asset. Experience in colour matching is preferred.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">The technical skills.</span> You are confident using spray guns, compressors, mixing systems, sanding tools, and masking materials. You understand surface preparation techniques and how they impact finish quality, adhesion, and durability.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">The problem-solving skills.</span> You can interpret work instructions, visual standards, and specifications to deliver consistent results. You are able to troubleshoot finish issues and adjust technique, equipment settings, or material application to correct defects.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">The attention to detail.</span> You take pride in producing clean, consistent, high-quality finishes. You are particularly strong in identifying surface imperfections and ensuring colour consistency and visual accuracy.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">The organization and adaptability.</span> You can manage multiple work orders, adjust to shifting priorities, and maintain focus in a fast-paced production environment.
