    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p><span><strong>You belong at Day &amp; Ross.&nbsp;</strong></span></p>\n<p><span>Terminal Manager</span></p>\n<p><span>Full-Time</span></p>\n<p><span>Surrey, BC</span></p>\n<p><span>As a Terminal Manager, you are responsible to safely lead the terminal team to meet stakeholder expectations with respect to service, quality and productivity. You are responsible for managing operational costs while operating within a network.&nbsp; This position is about driving change, developing and engaging teams and continuous improvement.</span></p>\n<p><span><strong>How You’ll Help</strong></span></p>\n<ul>\n <li><span>Empower and lead team to meet organizational objectives.&nbsp; &nbsp;</span></li>\n <li><span>Develop KPI’s to drive service, quality and safety</span></li>\n <li><span>Ensuring supervisors improve safety results by leading regular safety blitzes and safety walkabouts, and developing a culture of peer-to-peer safety interaction</span></li>\n <li><span>Interact with other Operations departments and supervisory teams at other Terminals to enable on-time service and quality</span></li>\n <li><span>Successfully manage multiple issues with competing priorities simultaneously</span></li>\n <li><span>Manage budget and workforce productivity</span></li>\n <li><span>Prioritize and manage customer shipments to maximize profit</span></li>\n <li><span>Develop Supervisors and employees through evaluation of their performance, providing pinpointed feedback and subsequently providing coaching and guidance</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span><strong>Your Skills &amp; Experience:&nbsp;</strong></span></p>\n<ul>\n <li><span>3-5 years of experience leading teams, developing talent and managing culture and performance&nbsp;</span></li>\n <li><span>Ideal to have leadership experience in transportation or operations as well as various roles in transportation&nbsp;</span></li>\n <li><span>exceptional leadership and influencing skills, including the ability to effectively get things done through others, lead by example, coach, and support staff and other leaders</span></li>\n <li><span>Strong conflict resolution skills and leadership</span></li>\n <li><span>Results driven</span></li>\n <li><span>A strong sense of customer service and urgency, troubleshooting and problem solving skills;</span></li>\n <li><span>Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written</span></li>\n <li><span>computer skills including the Microsoft Suite and preferably, AS400</span></li>\n <li><span>The ability to lead and reinforce a strong culture of workplace safety</span></li>\n <li><span>&nbsp;English (verbal/written/spoken) required; French or other languages are an asset</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span>To apply, visit our Careers page at <strong>dayross.com</strong>.</span><br><br><span>If you’re chosen for the role, you’ll be asked to provide reference and criminal background checks before employment.
