In this individual contributor role, you will own a product area from strategy through execution, working closely with engineering, design, operations, and commercial teams to deliver high-quality solutions that make a real difference for our customers.</p>\n<p>This is a great opportunity for a PM who is comfortable working across both existing product improvement and net-new product development, and who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. Experience in background screening is not required, though familiarity with regulated industries or data-driven B2B products is a plus.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Define and own the product roadmap for your area, balancing near-term customer needs with longer-term strategic goals.</li>\n <li>Write clear, well-reasoned product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria that enable engineering teams to deliver with confidence.</li>\n <li>Partner with engineering and design on discovery, solution design, and delivery, removing blockers and keeping work moving.</li>\n <li>Engage directly with customers and internal stakeholders to uncover pain points, validate ideas, and gather feedback on shipped features.</li>\n <li>Analyze product usage, operational data, and market signals to identify opportunities for improvement and prioritize accordingly.</li>\n <li>Collaborate with sales, operations, and customer success to ensure smooth launches and ongoing product adoption.</li>\n <li>Track key product metrics and report out on progress, learnings, and next steps to leadership and cross-functional partners.</li>\n <li>Contribute to a strong product culture by sharing insights, participating in team rituals, and helping raise the bar on how we work.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>3–5 years of product management experience, with demonstrated ownership of a product or feature area end-to-end.</li>\n <li>Strong ability to translate ambiguous problems into structured solutions, with a track record of shipping meaningful product improvements.</li>\n <li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to align stakeholders and articulate trade-offs clearly.</li>\n <li>Comfort working with data to inform decisions — you don’t need to be a data scientist, but you know how to ask the right questions and interpret the answers.</li>\n <li>Experience working in cross-functional agile environments alongside engineering and design.</li>\n <li>A customer-first mindset: you regularly seek out user feedback and let it shape your thinking.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Preferred Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Experience in B2B SaaS, data products, or regulated industries (HR tech, fintech, legal tech, compliance, etc.).</li>\n <li>Familiarity with background screening, employment verification, or related HR/people operations workflows.</li>\n <li>Exposure to API-driven products or platform-level thinking.</li>\n <li>Experience using analytics tools (e.g., Looker, Amplitude, Tableau, SQL) to self-serve on product questions.</li>\n <li>Comfort operating in a maturing product organization where process is still being built.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>What do we offer</h2>\n<p><strong>In exchange for your expertise, HireRight offers an excellent employee benefit package which includes:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Medical, Dental, Vision</li>\n <li>Paid Life/AD&D Insurance</li>\n <li>Voluntary Life Insurance</li>\n <li>Short & Long Term Disability</li>\n <li>Flexible Spending Accounts</li>\n <li>401K</li>\n <li>Generous Paid Time Off Program</li>\n <li>10 Paid Holidays</li>\n <li>Education Assistance Program</li>\n <li>Generous Referral Program</li>\n <li>Employee Discounts and Rewards</li>\n <li>And much more! </li>\n</ul>\n<p>*All resumes are held in confidence.
