    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p><strong>SUMMARY</strong></p>\n<p>The <strong>Regional Operations Manager</strong> is responsible for the effective management of the account Technicians and providing operational leadership to the portfolio. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:&nbsp; Driving team engagement to ensure achievement of all requirements, collaborating on process development and implementation, achieving service level agreements and maintaining compliance with all regulatory, safety and all other requirements.</p>\n<p><strong>KEY DUTIES &amp; RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></p>\n<p><strong>People Leadership</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Manages a team of Technicians for the assigned regions.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Responsible for people-oriented activities including but not limited to employee engagement, development and performance. management, hiring and retention, uniforms, certifications, training, and compensation recommendations.</li>\n <li>Ensures compliance with health and safety standards in the delivery of work through activities including but not limited to conducting regular toolbox talks, implementing safety training, providing protective equipment, reviewing and monitoring incidents.</li>\n <li>Ensures work is performed in accordance to all internal and external requirements.</li>\n <li>Maintains current awareness and knowledge of all applicable regulations and requirements.</li>\n <li>Provides technical support to Technicians.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Provides coaching and mentorship as required to Technicians.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Operations Management</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Manages work orders with a focus on cost control (OT, efficiency, etc.), and weekly work order expenditures.</li>\n <li>Management of Technician time and expenses.</li>\n <li>Collaborates with relevant concerned parties to review, develop, refine and implement processes and standard operating procedures.</li>\n <li>Recommends and implements technologies to achieve greater efficiencies and productivity.</li>\n <li>Maintains current awareness and ensures compliance with all applicable regulations and requirements.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Deploys Technicians to projects and work orders and to ensure projects and work orders are completed on-time and meets all requirements.</li>\n <li>Monitors and drives team performance to ensure achievement of service level agreements and performance metrics.</li>\n <li>Achieves greater efficiencies through factors including but not limited to effective resource utilization and labor loading, work order and callback issues review and developing and implementing corrective solutions, leveraging self-perform.</li>\n <li>&nbsp;Collaborates with Dispatch and CMMS teams for effective service delivery.</li>\n <li>Investigates and resolves operational issues.</li>\n <li>Acts with a high degree of urgency in resolving issues to ensure timely resolution and to maintain client satisfaction.</li>\n <li>Provide support with operational tools/programs including but not limited to: as GeoTab, Lone Worker, PMR and ODP.</li>\n <li>Able to work within union environments, including understanding of Collective Agreement.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Provide support in absence of Regional Director.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Other duties as required.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>KNOWLEDGE &amp; SKILLS</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>5 to 10 years of trades operations work experience, with at least 5 years at the supervisory or management level.</li>\n <li>Community college diploma or equivalent training (e.g. RPA, CET).</li>\n <li>In-depth knowledge of applicable regulatory requirements and maintains current awareness.</li>\n <li>Technical expertise in one or more of skilled trades discipline – refrigeration, electrical, plumbing.</li>\n <li>Ability to lead and engage a team of skilled trades employees&nbsp;and drive performance to ensure all requirements are achieved.</li>\n <li>Skilled at managing a skilled trades operations and employees.</li>\n <li>Ability to develop and implement processes and standard operating procedures.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Skilled at influencing, persuading and negotiating.</li>\n <li>Computer proficiency.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Licenses and/or Professional Accreditation</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Trade certification in one or more of the following would be considered an asset.</li>\n <li>Journeyman level Refrigeration license.</li>\n <li>Journeyman level Electrical license.</li>\n <li>Journeyman level Plumbing license.</li>\n</ul>\n<p style=\"margin-left:0in\">This is a regular, full-time position with a salary range of $93,972 - $117,466 per annum. The starting salary will be based on the successful candidate’s competencies, including but not limited to experience, education and performance related to this role.&nbsp;</p>",
