The Director works closely with campus partners to foster a supportive residential experience. &nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p>This position requires availability to work some nights and weekends, including on-call responsibilities, housing operations, campus events, and student emergencies.</p><p><br></p><p>&nbsp;<strong>Essential Job Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Provide strategic leadership and oversight of all campus housing operations, including occupancy management, room assignments, housing contracts, waitlists, and facility utilization.</li><li>Oversee housing opening and closing processes for residence halls, including fall opening, winter break closing, spring opening, and end-of-year closing.</li><li>Coordinate logistics, staffing, communications, and timelines for all housing transitions.</li><li>Manage residence hall key systems, including key inventory, audits, and coordination with Campus Safety and Facilities.</li><li>Collaborate with Facilities, Campus Safety, and other departments to address maintenance, safety, and operational concerns within residence halls.</li><li>Develop, implement, and evaluate housing policies, procedures, and protocols.</li><li>Oversee housing-related communications to students and families.</li></ul><p><strong>Residential Education &amp; Staff Supervision</strong></p><ul><li>Recruit, hire, train, supervise, and evaluate all housing and residence life staff.</li><li>Directly supervise Assistant Hall Directors, providing leadership, coaching, professional development, and performance &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;evaluation.</li><li>Ensure appropriate staffing coverage and duty rotations for residence halls.</li><li>Foster a professional, student-centered residential life team culture.</li></ul><p><strong>RA Program &amp; Training</strong></p><ul><li>Recruit, hire, train, supervise, and evaluate Resident Assistants (RAs).</li><li>Design, run, and oversee comprehensive RA training, including pre-semester training, ongoing development, and leadership education.</li><li>Ensure RAs are equipped to support student engagement, conflict resolution, crisis response, and community development.</li><li>Provide mentorship and leadership development opportunities for student staff.</li></ul><p><strong>Student Conduct, Conflict Management &amp; BIT</strong></p><ul><li>Serve as a conduct officer and oversee the residential student conduct process in alignment with College policies.</li><li>Investigate, adjudicate, and resolve conduct cases, including those related to housing, community standards, and behavioral concerns.</li><li>Assist students with conflict management, mediation, and problem-solving related to roommate disputes, community concerns, and &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;interpersonal challenges.</li><li>Train residential staff on conflict resolution strategies, conduct procedures, documentation, and educational sanctioning.</li><li>Maintain accurate conduct and case records while ensuring fair, consistent, and educational outcomes.</li><li>Serve as a member of the College’s Behavioral Intervention Team (BIT), contributing to the assessment, coordination, and response to students of concern.</li></ul><p><strong>Student Support &amp; Crisis Management</strong></p><ul><li>Respond to student crises and emergencies, including after-hours situations.</li><li>Participate in an on-call rotation and be available for nights and weekends as required.</li><li>Collaborate with Student Counseling and Wellness Center, Student Health Clinic, Campus Safety, Student Success, Academic &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Affairs, and other partners to support student well-being.</li><li>Provide guidance, assessment, and intervention in complex student situations, including those involving safety, mental health, or community impact.</li></ul><p><strong>Leadership &amp; Collaboration</strong></p><ul><li>Serve as a key member of the Student Affairs and Campus Life leadership team.</li><li>Collaborate with campus partners to support student retention, engagement, and success.</li><li>Participate in orientation, move-in, move-out, homecoming and major campus events.</li><li>Support and advance diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging initiatives within residential communities.</li></ul><p><strong>Other Duties &amp; Responsibilities:</strong>· Other duties as assigned</p><h3><strong>Supervision:&nbsp;</strong></h3><ul><li>Supervises 20 to 30 student employees and provides relevant administrative training.</li></ul>",
