Description Director of the Assertive Community Treatment, Adult New Hire Licensed Candidates are eligible for a $10,000 retention bonus! This position requires a license in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, Creative Arts Therapy, etc. OR licensure/registration as an RN. As the Director of the Assertive Community Treatment program (ACT), you will have the opportunity to improve the lives of adults who have a severe and persistent mental illness that significantly impairs their functioning in the community. You will oversee a multi-disciplinary team providing services and support to adults in the community. Your duties will include managing the program, staff matters, client referrals, program manual, and program systems. You will promote the agency's commitment to excellence in the provision of mental health services that are strength-based, recovery-oriented, shared decision-making process, along with culturally competent and sensitive. ACT is a program that provides services through less traditional service delivery methods. This is very much a "meet the client in their community" approach. You will report to the ACT Senior Director and will work both on site and in the community. Responsibilities: Provide overall supervision to the team and oversee allocation of staff time. Ensure all team members are kept informed of issues involving participants and their families. Monitor caseload size and coordinate program intakes and discharges. Facilitate, organize, and document daily team meetings. Provide training and supervision for the staff. Create rotating on-call schedule for after-hours / weekend coverage by team members Provide after hour and weekend telephonic backup for on-call staff. Educate the community about Assertive Community Treatment (ACT); philosophy, program outcomes, theoretical background. Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with other agencies, colleges, institutions, hospitals, primary care providers, housing authorities, and law enforcement agencies to help meet the needs of this population so they can achieve and maintain their independence. Ensure staff are adhering to the fidelity of the program. Participate in all required trainings as directed by funding source and ensure that staff are also in compliance with all funding source training. Act as a primary clinician for a subset of program participants. In this role of Primary Clinician, the Program Director will: Be a point person for the participant and their family. Conduct needs assessments. Engage in safety planning and wellness management planning with participants. Connect participants and families with the services and supports they need. Provide psychoeducation regarding mental health diagnosis and treatment. Develop and modify treatment using a shared decision-making process with clients. Requirements and Education: A Master’s degree and license in a helping profession- Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, Creative Arts Therapy, etc. OR licensure/registration as an RN (RN’s are encouraged to be master’s level or nurse practitioner), or physician. At least two years of progressively responsible related experience. A valid NYS driver's license is required. You will report to the ACT Senior Director and will work both on site and in the community.\\n\\nResponsibilities:\\n\\n\\n\\tProvide overall supervision to the team and oversee allocation of staff time.\\n\\tEnsure all team members are kept informed of issues involving participants and their families.\\n\\tMonitor caseload size and coordinate program intakes and discharges.\\n\\tFacilitate, organize, and document daily team meetings.\\n\\tProvide training and supervision for the staff.\\n\\tCreate rotating on-call schedule for after-hours / weekend coverage by team members\\n\\tProvide after hour and weekend telephonic backup for on-call staff.\\n\\tEducate the community about Assertive Community Treatment (ACT); philosophy, program outcomes, theoretical background.\\n\\tDevelop and maintain collaborative relationships with other agencies, colleges, institutions, hospitals, primary care providers, housing authorities, and law enforcement agencies to help meet the needs of this population so they can achieve and maintain their independence.\\n\\tEnsure staff are adhering to the fidelity of the program.\\n\\tParticipate in all required trainings as directed by funding source and ensure that staff are also in compliance with all funding source training.\\n\\tAct as a primary clinician for a subset of program participants. In this role of Primary Clinician, the Program Director will:\\n\\t\\n\\t\\tBe a point person for the participant and their family.\\n\\t\\tConduct needs assessments.\\n\\t\\tEngage in safety planning and wellness management planning with participants.\\n\\t\\tConnect participants and families with the services and supports they need.\\n\\t\\tProvide psychoeducation regarding mental health diagnosis and treatment.\\n\\t\\tDevelop and modify treatment using a shared decision-making process with clients.\\n\\t\\n\\t\\n\\n\\nRequirements and Education:\\n\\n\\n\\tA Master&rsquo;s degree and license in a helping profession- Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, Creative Arts Therapy, etc.&nbsp;OR licensure/registration as an RN (RN&rsquo;s are encouraged to be master&rsquo;s level or nurse practitioner), or physician.\\n\\tAt least two years of progressively responsible related experience.&nbsp;\\n\\tA valid NYS driver&#39;s license is required.\\n\\n\\nBenefits\\n\\n\\n\\tHealth care package: medical, dental, and vision&nbsp;\\n\\tTuition reimbursement&nbsp;\\n\\tPaid time off&nbsp;\\n\\tHoliday Pay&nbsp;\\n\\t401 (K) plan&nbsp;\\n\\tLife Insurance&nbsp;&nbsp;\\n\\tLoan repayment assistance&nbsp;\\n\\tFree training/CEU opportunities\\n\\n\\nAbout Northern Rivers\\n\\nAt Northern Rivers Family of Services, we work together to make a difference in our client&#39;s lives.
