Together, we are EXP.</p><p>Are you ready to design your future?</p><p>Be our next <strong>Project Manager/Senior</strong> <strong>Civil Engineer, Mining&nbsp;</strong></p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Your work environment at EXP</strong></p><p>In this role, you will be a part of the <strong>Mining </strong>team, based in <strong>any of our US offices.</strong></p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>What a day at EXP has in store for you</strong></p><ul><li>Preparing proposals for projects for geotechnical services for civil engineering projects that include cost estimates and timelines;</li><li>Providing geotechnical related services to the Mine Waste unit including geotechnical modelling, analyses and design, geotechnical investigations and liaising with external commercial laboratories.</li><li>Conceptual/pre-feasibility/feasibility design studies for tailings and mine waste facilities.</li><li>Planning and carrying out assignments requiring familiarity with a broad range of geotechnical engineering with reciprocal knowledge of the work on other field of technical work;</li><li>Utilizing combinations of standard procedures, modifications of standard procedures and methods developed in other assignments when analysing each unique project;</li><li>Co-ordinating with clients, suppliers and third parties to accomplish the required project objectives;<br>Managing projects to achieve the objectives, which are required by the client, including briefing and control of staff and contractors allocated to the project, scheduling work, cost control (expenses and budget control as well as utilization management);</li><li>Directing field activities, including investigation, monitoring and testing services on construction projects;</li><li>Attending project meetings and carrying out site inspections when senior technical guidance and support is required;</li><li>Reviewing and interpreting monitoring information from geotechnical instrumentation programs</li><li>Carrying out analysis of data, including computer analysis;</li><li>Writing and reviewing technical reports;</li><li>Working with senior staff when dealing with difficult, complex and unusual matters and decisions;</li><li>Performing independent studies, analyses, interpretations and conclusions;</li><li>Working independently with little supervision, depending on the complexity of the assignment;</li><li>Liaising with clients, contractors, consultants, mining staff, and other stakeholders;</li><li>Continuing own technical skills development and propagation of those skills to others;</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>What your experience looks like</strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor’s Degree in Geotechnical, Civil or Geological Engineering with a post-graduate degree preferred;</li><li>A minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in Geotechnical engineering, preferably predominantly obtained in a consulting engineering environment;</li><li>5 years experience with Tailings, Dam and Mine waste</li><li>PE required</li><li>Management of engineering teams consisting of intermediate and junior professionals and technicians;</li><li>Participate in business development activities&nbsp;</li><li>Development of comprehensive scopes of work to the client’s requirements;</li><li>Use of high level engineering principles;</li><li>Ensuring that standards and criteria have been met;</li><li>Maintaining budgetary control, including changes in the scope of work due to client requirements and physical/geotechnical conditions; and Accurately and appropriately reporting project assignments on schedule.</li><li>Management of multiple projects at one time;</li><li>Experience with complex geotechnical investigations and design work;</li><li>Proven mentoring of junior engineering staff;</li><li>Other skills, including:</li><li>Strong verbal and written (English) communication;</li><li>Ability to exercise diplomacy and tact when interacting with fellow staff, clients, consultants and Contractors;</li><li>Strong organizational and time management skills, including multi-tasking and prioritizing;</li><li>Strong problem solving skills;</li><li>Familiarity with standard construction procedures and methodologies;</li><li>Ability to work in a team environment;</li><li>Advanced computer analysis experience;</li><li>Valid driver’s license and vehicle.</li></ul><p><strong>The pay range for this role is $110,000&nbsp;to $150,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work&nbsp;</strong></p>",
