Carry out heavy cleaning tasks and special projects.</span></li>\n <li><span>Ability to handle equipment and machinery.&nbsp;</span></li>\n <li><span>Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies.&nbsp;</span></li>\n <li><span>Familiarity with Material Safety Data Sheets.</span></li>\n <li>Propose improvements and participate in problem solving using the Safety Corner Board, Continuous Improvement Suggestions, and participating in monthly Communication and Awareness initiatives.</li>\n <li>Keep area clean and orderly, per 5S requirements, this includes aisle ways and areas around the equipment being used.</li>\n <li>Perform any additional responsibilities assigned by Supervisor.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS&nbsp;</strong></p>\n<p>Reports to the Tooling and Facilities Manager.&nbsp;Maintains regular interface with all levels of Plant Management and&nbsp;personnel in Ithaca.&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;</p>\n<p><strong>&nbsp;BACK-UP</strong></p>\n<p>In absence of an incumbent in this position, the back-up for primary duties is responsibility of the direct reports in each functional area. Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned among other qualified employees, depending upon business priorities.</p>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p><strong>COMPETENCIES</strong></p>\n<p><strong><u>Language Skills&nbsp;</u></strong></p>\n<p>Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
