In this position, you will appropriately diagnose and treat patients primarily between the ages of 0 –21.&nbsp;</p></div><div style=\"font-style:normal;font-weight:400;text-decoration-color:initial;text-decoration-style:initial;text-decoration-thickness:initial;\"><p>Think you’ve got what it takes?</p></div><div style=\"font-style:normal;font-weight:400;text-decoration-color:initial;text-decoration-style:initial;text-decoration-thickness:initial;\"><p><strong>Schedule:</strong></p></div><div style=\"font-style:normal;font-weight:400;text-decoration-color:initial;text-decoration-style:initial;text-decoration-thickness:initial;\"><p><strong>Inpatient weekend coverage</strong><br><strong>1 shift per week</strong></p><p><strong>It will be primarily weekends, inpatient coverage so they need to have advanced knowledge of dysphagia and acquired neurological deficits, can work from newborns to 18+</strong><br><br><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p></div><ul><li>Performs patient evaluations/consultations and interprets results</li><li>Provides results verbally to patient and/or family/caregiver and/or to referral source</li><li>Develops treatment plan in conjunction with patient and/or family/caregiver</li><li>Implements treatment plan and monitors progress on an ongoing basis</li><li>Maintains records as required by law, IDS policy and administrative regulations</li><li>Documents evaluation procedures, results, diagnoses, and recommendations</li><li>Attends and participates in continuing education programs as required to maintain licensure and promote professional growth</li><li>Promotes speech-language pathology services within the community and the IDS</li></ul><div style=\"font-style:normal;font-weight:400;text-decoration-color:initial;text-decoration-style:initial;text-decoration-thickness:initial;\"><p><br><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p></div><ul><li>Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology field of study required</li><li>CCC-SLP certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association require</li><li>TX-SLP license from the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation required</li><li>2-year professional experience as SLP in pediatric setting (may include clinical fellowship but excludes training completed prior to completion of Masters degree)· &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</li></ul><div style=\"font-style:normal;font-weight:400;text-decoration-color:initial;text-decoration-style:initial;text-decoration-thickness:initial;\"><p><strong>Preferred Experience:&nbsp;</strong></p></div><ul><li>Experienced with management of complex pediatric dysphagia</li><li>Familiarity with pediatric airway disorders, including trach/vent</li><li>Able to informally evaluate cognitive-linguistic deficits</li><li>Strong understanding of progression of oral feeding development from newborn to transitional feeders</li><li>Able to collaborate and effectively communicate with members of medical team</li><li>Makes referrals for other evaluations as appropriate</li></ul>",
