    "description": "<p>Job Title: Junior SOC Operations Analyst</p>\n<p>Location: Huntsville, AL </p>\n<p>Position Type: Full-Time</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Position Summary:</span></span><span><br></span></p>\n<p>We are seeking a <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Junior SOC Operations Analyst</span> to support <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Watch-Floor Operations</span> on a rotating <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">shift schedule</span>. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and a foundational understanding of cybersecurity operations, with specific exposure to threat detection and incident response. This role is critical to our Security Operations Center (SOC), providing 24/7 monitoring, analysis, and response to security events and threats across our enterprise.</p>\n<p><span><br></span><br></p>\n<p><span><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Key Responsibilities:</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Monitor computer networks in real-time for security issues and suspicious activity.</li>\n<li>Investigate and respond to security breaches, cyber incidents, and anomalous behavior.</li>\n<li>Document security breaches and assess the scope and impact of each incident.</li>\n<li>Perform initial triage and analysis of alerts generated by security tools (e.g., SIEM platforms).</li>\n<li>Conduct forensic analysis of digital artifacts including disk images and log data.</li>\n<li>Assist with penetration testing and vulnerability assessments.</li>\n<li>Apply remediation measures to detected vulnerabilities and provide security hardening recommendations.</li>\n<li>Support the deployment and monitoring of firewalls, encryption tools, and other security technologies.</li>\n<li>Generate incident reports and provide input for root cause analysis and lessons learned.</li>\n<li>Participate in deployable Incident Response Team (IRT) support tasks.</li>\n<li>Perform dynamic analysis and develop timelines and file signature comparisons during investigations.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span><br></span><br></p>\n<p><span><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Required Qualifications:</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Hands-on experience or training with <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Splunk Enterprise Security</span>.</li>\n<li>Strong knowledge of cybersecurity concepts, attack vectors, and mitigation strategies.</li>\n<li>Familiarity with network protocols, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and log analysis.</li>\n<li>Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.</li>\n<li>Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-stress operational environment on shift schedules.</li>\n<li>Active Top Secret Clearance with SCI Eligibility</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span><br></span><br></p>\n<p><span><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Preferred Qualifications:</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Experience with <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Microsoft Sentinel</span> (SIEM).</li>\n<li>One or more of the following certifications:\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">GIAC Continuous Monitoring Certification (GMON)</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">GIAC Certified Incident Handler (GCIH)</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">GIAC Certified Forensic Analyst (GCFA)</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">GIAC Certified Intrusion Analyst (GCIA)</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">GIAC Network Forensic Analyst (GNFA)</span></li>\n</ul>\n</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Education:</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Bachelor’s Degree</span> (B.S. or B.A.) in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span>CULTURE REQUIREMENTS:</span></p>\n<p>• Engineers, Analysts, and Developers at Cintel, Inc. are highly motivated, technical, and self‐organized.
