You strive to make sure the job is done right the first time.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Binnie is looking for an Inspector to join our Infrastructure Langley Division, which provides professional civil engineering services for local municipalities. Typical projects include road and utility improvements and replacements, stormwater management, and erosion and sediment control. This role is based out of our Langley office, but the work locations may vary across the Lower Mainland.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">This role combines both field and office work. You will work closely with both internal and external stakeholders to successfully deliver construction support services on municipal infrastructure projects of various sizes and complexities.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">You inspect civil works throughout the construction progress on multiple projects, keep up-to-date construction records, evaluate constructed works, track schedule variances, prepare progress payment certificates, and assist Project Managers with contract management.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">In the office, you contribute to the design side of the project delivery process. You prepare construction details, quantity take-offs, and construction cost estimates while working closely with multiple project teams.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">You will utilize your strong background in construction inspection to observe and inspect work and keep accurate, up-to-constructed information as work progresses.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">This is a dynamic and challenging role with a competitive compensation package and opportunities for career advancement.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">YOUR ROLE:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Completing and reporting on-site inspections</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Preparing and updating as-constructed field record drawings</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Notifying the Project Manager or Contract Administrator of potential problems and liaising with municipal inspectors and outside agencies</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Coordinating with Contractors and assisting with construction administration</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Abiding by Binnie’s established procedures and complying with Binnie’s Safety Program</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">WHAT YOU BRING:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Minimum 2-4+ years of previous experience in inspection in a civil engineering environment</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Completion of a Degree or Diploma in Construction Inspection, Civil Engineering, or a related field</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Comfort and experience working in a construction setting</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Registration as an AScT, CTech or EIT., and/or CPWI preferred</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Valid Driver’s License and personal vehicle for travel to job sites</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Familiarity with the tendering process and construction contracts</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Familiarity and knowledge with MMCD</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Strong organization and time management skills</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Ability to effectively handle multiple projects and deadlines</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, contractors, and clients</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\"> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">ABOUT BINNIE:</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">We are the people behind the infrastructure you use every day.
