Description Work Schedule: This is a part time per diem position. You will work at University Hospital. Pay: • Additional components of compensation may include: • Evening and night shift differential • Weekend differential Be part of something remarkable Bring your EMT experience to a fast-paced Level 1 Trauma Center and the #1 hospital in Wisconsin! We are seeking an Emergency Department Technician to: • Respond to pages/codes accordingly • Assist with restraints when directed • May act as an observer for behavioral health complaints • Provide orthopedic support goods or crutches when applicable • Follow established safety and emergency policies and procedures in daily practice or emergency situations, including handling of equipment and supplies during emergencies • Work independently within the scope of practice to achieve clinical outcomes • Maintain a level of professional development through continuing education, quality improvement initiatives, and sharing of knowledge Heroes for Healthcare, a national nonprofit organization that partners with health systems like UW Health to help veterans and military personnel who are medically trained transition into civilian health care roles, led the effort to get the bill and program off the ground.
