This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for supervising crews, coordinating daily work activities, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and to BC Hydro specifications.</p>\n<p>The Foreman acts as the key link between field crews and project management, driving productivity, quality, and jobsite performance.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Key Responsibilities</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span>Supervise and coordinate daily activities of crews, operators, and subcontractors </span></li>\n<li><span>Plan and execute work in accordance with drawings, specifications, and schedule </span></li>\n<li><span>Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with company and regulatory standards </span></li>\n<li><span>Maintain production targets while controlling costs and minimizing downtime </span></li>\n<li><span>Coordinate materials, equipment, and labour requirements for upcoming work </span></li>\n<li><span>Communicate regularly with the Superintendent and Project Manager on progress, risks, site conditions and schedule</span></li>\n<li><span>Lead daily toolbox meetings, complete hazard assessments and safety enforcement </span></li>\n<li><span>Monitor quality of work and ensure deficiencies are corrected promptly </span></li>\n<li><span>Complete daily reports, timesheets, and site documentation, as-built drawings, etc. </span></li>\n<li><span>Train, mentor, and develop crew members </span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Qualifications</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span>Experience in BC Hydro Utilities and underground utilities installation (earthworks, utilities, roadworks, or excavation) </span></li>\n<li><span>2+ years in a Foreman or lead-hand role </span></li>\n<li><span>Strong understanding of local civil construction methods, sequencing, and equipment </span></li>\n<li><span>Ability to read and interpret drawings, grades, and specifications </span></li>\n<li><span>Proven leadership and crew management skills </span></li>\n<li><span>Solid communication and problem-solving ability </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Valid driver’s license (Class 5 minimum; Class 1/3 considered an asset)</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Preferred Experience</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span>Municipal infrastructure (water, sewer, storm) </span></li>\n<li><span>BC Hydro Specifications and installations</span></li>\n<li><span>Site servicing, underground utility installation and road works</span></li>\n<li><span>Experience working in urban or high-traffic environments </span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Certifications (Assets)</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span>First Aid (OFA Level 1 or higher) </span></li>\n<li><span>Confined Space / Ground Disturbance Level II </span></li>\n<li><span>PSSP Certification</span></li>\n<li><span>Equipment operation experience preferred </span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Compensation &amp; Benefits</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span>Competitive hourly rats and Union benefits </span></li>\n<li><span>Company vehicle or vehicle allowance </span></li>\n<li><span>Extended health benefits </span></li>\n<li><span>Union Pension Fund</span></li>\n<li><span>Opportunities for advancement within a growing company </span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Why Join Us</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span>Stable pipeline of local BC Hydro projects </span></li>\n<li><span>Strong safety culture and team environment </span></li>\n<li><span>Opportunity to lead meaningful infrastructure work in the Victoria region </span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">How to Apply</span></p>\n<p>We welcome applications from all backgrounds and cultures to join our team (including self-identifying Indigenous, status, non-status, Metis, and Inuit and non-Indigenous cultures).
