    "description": "<h2></h2>\n<p><strong>GFT</strong> is seeking an <strong>Automation and Control Technician (UL Panel Shop)  </strong>to join our <strong>Building and Places Business Group in Mechanicsburg PA! </strong></p>\n<p>This role follows requiring regular attendance at our <strong>Mechanicsburg PA </strong>office.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>What you’ll be challenged to do:</strong></p>\n<p>This is an excellent career opportunity for an experienced, motivated <strong>Entry Level</strong> <strong>Automation and Control Technician </strong>who thrives in a collaborative team environment. The role highlights a customer-focused mindset and a passion for delivering exceptional quality and results on every project.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>In this capacity, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Reading and comprehension of basic electronic control and hardwired relay panel design drawings and Bill of Materials</li>\n <li>Basic knowledge and comprehension of network, electronic signal communication and I/O protocols.</li>\n <li>Construct UL508A industrial control panels from plans and drawings in an indoor shop environment.</li>\n <li>Conduct factory and field testing of industrial control panels.</li>\n <li>Document and maintain factory and field testing results.</li>\n <li>Perform project site field wiring installation & troubleshooting for small to complex control systems.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>What you will bring to our firm: </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Minimum Associate Degree in electronics engineering, electrical technology or related technical discipline.</li>\n <li>Fundamental comprehension of electric, electronic circuit theory and symbology.</li>\n <li>Ability to learn and work with others in a cooperative environment.</li>\n <li>Must be proficient using power and hand tools including digital multimeters and possess basic electric, electronic trouble shooting skills.</li>\n <li>Basic computer skills, familiar with Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Excel and Word. </li>\n <li>Ability to be onsite and travel occasionally to client locations for project assignments in the Central PA region.
