We are proud of our diversity and of our more than 150-year history of helping others in San Francisco. &nbsp;St. Vincent de Paul Society of San Francisco&rsquo;s mission is to offer hope and service, on a direct person to person basis, working to break the cycles of homelessness and domestic violence.<strong>&nbsp;&nbsp;</strong></p><p>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;</p><p><strong>SUMMARY:&nbsp;</strong></p><p>The Community Case Manager provides counseling, advocacy, and case management services to survivors of domestic violence at The Riley Center&rsquo;s Community Office. This includes support groups, drop-in support as well as follow-up services for former residents of the Riley Center residential programs. This is a full-time, non-exempt, union position.</p><p><br></p><p data-pasted=\"true\"><strong>SALARY AND BENEFITS OVERVIEW:</strong></p><p>The Community Case Manager starts at $31.66 per hour.</p><p>St. Vincent de Paul of San Francisco offers a robust benefits package that includes:&nbsp;</p><ul><li>Kaiser HMO medical paid in full</li><li>Voluntary dental, vision and life insurance</li><li>403b retirement plan with employer-paid match after one year of employment</li><li>Employee Assistance Program</li><li>Ten vacation and ten sick days accrued per year, two personal floating holidays and twelve and a half holidays offered per year.</li></ul><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><p><strong>RESPONSIBILITIES:</strong></p><ul><li>Coordinate and provide domestic violence services to Community Office clients: &nbsp;telephone, home visits, counseling, case management, advocacy, accompaniment, referrals, and assist clients with paperwork.</li><li>Refer clients to appropriate domestic violence services in the community.</li><li>Assume responsibility of Community Office statistical and data collection for quarterly reports.</li><li>Attend Riley Center staff meetings, supervision meetings, and training.</li><li>Participate in appropriate ongoing staff development &amp; training.</li><li>Facilitate support groups.</li><li>Participate in ongoing cross-training to perform duties in other departments of the agency as needed.</li><li>Maintain and compile client records, including individual case notes, daily log, and statistics, in an accurate and timely manner.</li><li>Share office management duties: maintenance, donations, mail, supporting volunteers, etc.</li><li>Receive training to conduct Coordinated Entry assessments and, as needed, provide coverage for the role by completing assessments.</li><li>Perform other duties as assigned.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>QUALIFICATIONS:</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>BA degree in Psychology, Social Work, Gender Studies, or another related field. &nbsp;Experience and/or certifications may be accepted in lieu of a degree.</li><li>40-hour DV certification required. &nbsp;If not certified, training must be done upon hire.</li><li>Experience working with survivors of domestic violence direct services, and government agencies is preferred.</li><li>Average ability to write, read and speak English.</li><li>Demonstrated skills in counseling, case management, and client advocacy.</li><li>Familiarity with Harm Reduction philosophy and approach.</li><li>Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills and the ability to document clearly and legibly.</li><li>Understanding of domestic violence issues, especially in the context of race, class, gender, and sexual identity.</li><li>Ability to work independently and with little supervision, as well as being a team player.</li><li>Knowledge, experience, and comfort working with a diverse community, including LGBTQQ, youth, immigrants, low-income communities, and communities of color.&nbsp;</li><li>Working knowledge of community resources.</li><li>Demonstrated commitment to open, direct, and non-violent communication.</li><li>Ability to de-escalate crisis situations and make decisions under pressure.</li><li>Excellent reporting skills including use of Microsoft Office and data entry skills.</li><li>Strong initiative and ability to work both independently and cooperatively in a small office.</li><li>Ability to maintain professional boundaries with clients, volunteers, and staff.</li><li>Commitment to the mission of St. Vincent de Paul Society of San Francisco.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Covid vaccination and negative result on TB test required. &nbsp;&nbsp;</strong></p><p><strong>Background check completed upon acceptance of job offer.</strong></p><p>&nbsp;</p><p data-pasted=\"true\"><strong>St. Vincent de Paul Society of San Francisco celebrates diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging and is an Affirmative Action/Equal Opportunity Employer.</strong></p><p><strong>We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status, or disability status.</strong></p><p><br></p><p><strong>Pursuant to the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance we will consider for employment qualified applicants with arrest and conviction.</strong></p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><br></p></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div>\n",
