The successful candidate can be based at any one of our following offices: <strong>Windsor, Oakville, Hamilton, North York, Kingston</strong>.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>We offer flexible work hours to help balance the competing demands of work and personal life.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>Municipal Infrastructure System Modelling & Analysis</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Serve as the technical lead for hydraulic modelling assignments for municipal clients, utilizing complex modelling software.</li>\n <li>Perform hydrologic and hydraulic modelling using InfoWorks ICM (1D and 2D), PCSWMM (1D and 2D) and other closed conduit modelling platforms. </li>\n <li>Model development, calibration, and analysis of storm, sanitary and combined sewer systems for dry weather and wet weather flows.</li>\n <li>Develop and implement strategies for master servicing plans.</li>\n <li>Model, analyze, and interpret results, documenting findings in technical reports.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p><strong>Water Resources Design</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Provide technical input for the delivery of water resources projects for both public and private sector clients.</li>\n <li>Undertake and lead hydrologic and hydraulic modelling assignments, including the analysis of surface drainage, dual drainage systems, bridges and culverts, erosion and scour protection.</li>\n <li>Develop and implement stormwater management strategies to mitigate flooding for land development projects.</li>\n <li>Model, analyze, and interpret results, documenting findings in technical reports.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Technical Leadership</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Provide technical input for complex or unique assignments.</li>\n <li>Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior staff. </li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Business Development</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Identify and develop new business opportunities.</li>\n <li>Business travel to other Dillon offices upon request.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Learning & Development </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Commit to self-development and ongoing learning and professional development.</li>\n <li>Input to the career development of junior staff, including technical direction, training recommendations, coaching and mentoring.</li>\n <li>Contribute to Dillon’s corporate profile through active participation in professional associations and committees.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Undergraduate degree in civil or environmental engineering or applicable technical degree.</li>\n <li>5+ years’ relevant experience in a consulting environment or working on municipal infrastructure engineering projects in Canada.</li>\n <li>Valid driver's license.</li>\n <li>Strong understanding of municipal and provincial design standards.</li>\n <li>Proficiency in AutoCAD, ArcGIS, Visual OTTHYMO, PCSWMM (1D/2D), HEC-RAS (1D/2D), HEC-HMS, and related computer models.</li>\n <li>Understanding of sanitary system model calibration for both dry and wet-weather flows.</li>\n <li>Excellent communication, report writing, and interpersonal skills.</li>\n <li>Ability to work both independently and in a collaborative team environment.</li>\n <li>A self-motivated individual looking for advancement opportunities.</li>\n <li>Excellent initiative and attention to detail.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Experience</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Demonstrated experience in the design and analysis for water resources projects including stormwater management, and transportation drainage.</li>\n <li>Demonstrated proficiency in storm and sanitary infrastructure modelling, analysis, and calibration for both dry weather and wet weather flows using InfoWorks ICM and/or PCSWMM would be considered an asset. </li>\n <li>Conducting Inflow and Infiltration analysis and basement flooding studies to support municipal infrastructure projects would be considered an asset.</li>\n <li>Experience and proficiency in Water Distribution modelling, analysis, and calibration using industry-leading software (InfoWater, WaterGEMS/WaterCAD) would be considered an asset.</li>\n <li>Demonstrated experience in project management and coordination.</li>\n <li>Proven ability to manage projects effectively and meet deadlines.</li>\n <li>Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.</li>\n <li>A commitment to quality and client satisfaction.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong><u>Compensation</u></strong></p>\n<p>$70,000 - $120,000</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Dillon is including the salary range that we in good faith believe may offer for this position. It will be dependent on the successful applicant’s education, experience, and skills, in addition to internal equity and geographic region.
