Great for High School students!</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">HUB is Hamlin’s afterschool care program. HUB stands for “Hang out, Unwind, Belong” – it’s also a fitting name because HUB is the center of activities in Hamlin's Extended Day Programs. Our Extended Day team works daily to make each student feel welcomed, nourished, and engaged during their time with us. We provide a mix of structured and unstructured activities, and students can choose to move between playing outside with their friends, getting their homework done, participating in an art activity, or relaxing with a book or a game. HUB sees anywhere from 60-100 students per day, and is usually busy, lively, and energetic! Ideal candidate has energy to match that of our students and programs.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-weight: bold\">Extended Day Support Staff Reports to: </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Director of Extended Day and Enrichment Programs</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-weight: bold\">Primary Responsibility:  </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Supervise students’ indoor and outdoor play with joy and enthusiasm. Promote and</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">facilitate compliance with Hamlin health and safety guidelines.  </span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-weight: bold\">Work Schedule:  </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">3:30pm-5:30pm Monday-Friday. We ask for a regular 2-3 days, per week commitment. </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">The role begins <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">August 20, 2026.</span></span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-weight: bold\">Specific Duties/Responsibilities:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Facilitate and supervise activities for students in Hamlin’s HUB (afterschool) program (primarily grades K-4).</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Supervise students in indoor and outdoor play spaces.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Work proactively with students and assist them with their individual needs.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Assist with daily student dismissals and pickups.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Maintain a clean and organized working environment.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Communicate with and support other Extended Day staff.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Assist in supporting special events as needed.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Meet periodically with supervisor for evaluation and feedback. </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Work collaboratively to create program themes and concepts.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Plan with and support the Extended Day team as needed.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Be an advocate for the goals of the after school program and the school.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Model and promote the Hamlin Creed: Compassion, Courage, Honesty, Respect, Responsibility.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Create an environment of balance: structured and unstructured choices, work and play.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-weight: bold\">Qualifications:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Applicants must be at least 16 years old.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Passion for working with children.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Desire and ability to work collaboratively with others. </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Enthusiasm, creativity, warmth, patience, and flexibility.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Effective verbal and written communication skills with other staff, students, and parents.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Ability to problem-solve and resolve conflicts.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Must be able to provide a valid work permit if under 18 years of age.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Must be able to provide negative tuberculosis screening.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Must be able to register and clear Livescan if 18 years of age or older.</span></li>\n</ul>",
