The<span> </span><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Curriculum and Academic Rigor Lead</span><span> </span>ensures that ExcelPrep’s academic programming meets the highest standards of instructional excellence, alignment with student learning goals, and fidelity to evidence-based practice.</p>\n<p>This leader will coach, develop, and evaluate teachers and interventionists while guiding the academic and instructional design across subjects and grade levels.</p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 24pt\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Key Responsibilities</span></span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18pt\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Curriculum Leadership</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Lead the design, implementation, and monitoring of ExcelPrep’s academic and instructional frameworks.</li>\n<li>Ensure all curriculum aligns with ExcelPrep’s mission of equity, precision, and neurodiverse inclusion.</li>\n<li>Evaluate and adapt curriculum sequences using<span> </span><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Direct Instruction (DI)</span><span> </span>and complementary instructional models.</li>\n<li>Develop pacing guides, progress monitoring systems, and mastery-based data reviews.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18pt\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Instructional Coaching and Professional Development</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Provide weekly observation, feedback, and coaching cycles for teachers and interventionists.</li>\n<li>Model high-fidelity instructional delivery using DI, fluency-based instruction, and explicit teaching principles.</li>\n<li>Create and facilitate ongoing professional development in data-based decision making, instructional design, and learner engagement.</li>\n<li>Support new staff onboarding and DI skill acquisition through training and guided practice.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18pt\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Academic Rigor and Data Accountability</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Lead data review meetings with staff to analyze student performance trends and identify acceleration opportunities.</li>\n<li>Establish measurable academic targets and monitor fidelity of implementation across classrooms.</li>\n<li>Collaborate with BCBAs and clinical teams to ensure academic programming integrates behavioral and communication goals.</li>\n<li>Develop performance rubrics and academic rigor standards that align with ExcelPrep’s outcome metrics.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18pt\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Leadership &amp; Collaboration</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Serve on the School Leadership Team and advise on instructional priorities, curriculum purchases, and assessment tools.</li>\n<li>Partner with the Clinical Director and Head of School to maintain consistency between academic and therapeutic models.</li>\n<li>Foster a culture of professional growth, collaboration, and evidence-based excellence.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 24pt\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Qualifications</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Required:</span>\n<ul>\n<li>Valid<span> </span><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL)</span></li>\n<li>Minimum<span> </span><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">3 years teaching or instructional leadership experience</span></li>\n<li>Demonstrated proficiency in<span> </span><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Direct Instruction (DI)</span><span> </span>methodologies</li>\n<li>Deep understanding of evidence-based interventions, progress monitoring, and individualized instruction</li>\n</ul>\n</li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Preferred:</span>\n<ul>\n<li>Experience working with<span> </span><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">neurodiverse learners</span><span> </span>(autism, ADHD, learning disabilities)</li>\n<li>Familiarity with<span> </span><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">ABA and Precision Teaching principles</span></li>\n<li>Experience training or supervising educators and intervention staff</li>\n<li>Master’s degree in Education, Curriculum &amp; Instruction, or related field</li>\n</ul>\n</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 24pt\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Core Competencies</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Instructional design expertise</li>\n<li>Strong data analysis and coaching skills</li>\n<li>Leadership presence and cultural competence</li>\n<li>Commitment to inclusion, equity, and high expectations</li>\n<li>Excellent communication and organizational abilities</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 24pt\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Compensation and Benefits</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Competitive salary commensurate with experience</li>\n<li>Comprehensive health and wellness benefits</li>\n<li>Professional development and continuing education support</li>\n<li>Opportunity to shape a growing, innovative educational model in Chicago</li>\n</ul>",
